no-hazing policy?
the daughter of a woman i work with has been hazed by her NPC glo. this woman is distraught and isn't sure whether to report the glo to the school and national board. i gave her my opinion...but that's not the point of the thread.
what i need is to find if the npc has a no-hazing policy. i checked npcwomen.org but couldn't find anything.
anyone know where i can find a copy? thanks!

All NPC policies are in the Green Book. ( I can't remember if they have a specific no hazing policy in there or not. Surely they would, but stranger things have happened.....) If you're still a collegiate member (can't remember if you are or not....sorry!) then your CPH delegate should have a copy.
If you are an alumna, is there a chapter very near you that can copy it out of their Green Book and fax/mail it to you? Or I'm sure there's a savvy GC'er nearby that could scan it or type it in here for you!
Point being....if NPC has said it....it's in the Green Book.
Good Luck!

Just until someone more NPC familiar (eg with a copy of the Green Book aka NPC Manual of Information - 13th Edition, thanks npcwomen.org or very well versed in such things) comes along here's a quick interim answer.
http://www.npcwomen.org/policies/p_resolutions.php, reveals that the NPC policy has been amended often the most recent amendment is 1997 and provides that (abridged version on website only) - Current Resolution:
Hazing is defined as any action or situation with or without consent which recklessly, intentionally or unintentionally endangers the mental or physical health or safety of a student, or creates risk of injury, or causes discomfort, embarrassment, harassment or ridicule or which willfully destroys or removes public or private property for the purpose of initiation or admission into or affiliation with, or as a condition for continued membership in a chapter or colony of an NPC member fraternity. All member groups will affirm their policies denouncing hazing and inform their membership of this NPC position denouncing hazing through mailings and through their inter/national magazines.
As it is a resolution, I would seek guidance from those who know, whether or not or to the extent this applies as "Resolutions and recommendations differ from the Unanimous Agreements in that they may not be mandatory. An effective Panhellenic should adopt and implement the resolutions and recommendations that are relevant to the efficient operations of the organization.

thanks so much. i completely missed that part in resolutions.
i'm an alumna and i have no way of getting a green book. if anyone could scan something in, if it's more than what decadence already posted, i would really appreciate it.

just curious---what would you all tell my friend to do? her daughter LOVES her glo but hated the hazing. my friend knows that the glo will get kicked off campus if they are caught, but her daughter absolutely loves her sorority. she's so caught as to what to do.

I'd have the daughter tell their Province/Regional/State/whatever Director. This sounds like something that could cause closure if caught by the school, but maybe just cause a membership review if the sorority is allowed to handle it.

Also, most NPC sororities have their specific hazing policy on their web page. DG's is:
