Hopefully the EU won't deliver injustice to Turkey

After all Turkey has done, I hope the EU doesn't screw them and moderate Islam over.

Well, according to the Italian PM, Turkey has the potential to join EU in 2007. I think there a few obstacle to joining the EU. The Cyprus problem must be solved. I believed only the hardliners in the military are the people that are blocking any reunification of Cyprus. Greece has made it clear that Turkey will not even be considered unless the Cyprus question is solved. The current administration are more willing than the previous administration to work with the United Nations to solved this problem.
