The URGGGS
I need to rant...
Today we had an alumnae meeting/rededication ceremony that had been scheduled two months ago. There were 2 officers present and 3 sisters there for rededication... how mad was I! It wasn't like our yahoo group hadn't sent out two reminders, so everyone should have remembered. And apparently some of them remembered that it was going on because the sisters who were there for rededication heard them discussing the directions... I guess what I am really mad about is that they didn't call to let us know that they couldn't make it. They could have phoned to have us change the date or the time or to let us know that everything is okay, but something had come up...
I don't want to be a hippocrite and say that I have never not called to let someone know that plans had changed. I was suppost to attend a wedding that I had RSVPed to, but sick grandparents change things and holding the wedding in no-persons land makes for difficult cell-phone reception... and then I have forgotten that something was going on...
But to have everyone involved forget? I don't think so... URRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGG
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
New topic... we are having difficulty with communitcation and need help... there are three groups of people working with TU... the collegiates, the advisors, and the alumnaes.. how do we get everyone talking?
The collegiates and the advisors try to do everything and never call upon the alumns.... while they feel like they are all alone. The alumns want to help but don't know how or where to help... so they feel like they aren't needed. And everyone feels underappreciated... URGGGG! Help, how do we get all the groups together?
