Recently Initiated And Loving It!

Hello brothers!
I was recently initiated on December 5th, 2003 with my fellow Hancockers at SAN JOSE STATE UNIVERSITY (GAMMA BETA!) and wanted to say that pledging was an awesome experience. APHIO is my second pledging experience, being in BETA THETA PI, but the pledge process for APHIO was still awesome. It was very different from BETA, but all in all, I loved it. I'm glad to be a part of a service fraternity as well as an IFC one as well. How many of you belong to another fraternity or sorority? Just wonderin.

Welcome Mike!

I am in an NPHC fraternity as well as Alpha Phi Omega.

I pledged APO in Spring '99 at Georgetown University, Mu Alpha Chapter. I then became a member of Alpha Phi Alpha through an alumni chapter in Spring '03.

Since Georgetown doesn't recognize a traditional Greek system, very few of us are members of both. One other Mu Alpha Brother pledged APhiA, and another became a Zeta Phi Beta.

That's cool. I think we have an APhiA chapter here at San Jose State, but it's pretty small, and the Greek system here is primarily IFC. Thanks for respondin bro!

Congrats, Mike, and welcome to active brotherhood!

I wasn't in a NPC sorority when I was in college, but there were a couple actives who were also members of Sigma Kappa.

A couple of brothers (including our president one semester) were members of a NIC fraternity, but I can't remember which one. I think it was Phi Sigma Kappa.

Hi! I'm also in Sigma Delta Tau, although I pledged APO first. I wouldn't change it for the world, even though it's tough sometimes.
