Thanks and an Apology

I wanted to let everyone who responded to my question know how much I really, really appreciate your taking the time to give me advice. I was so shy when I started college that I didn't want to go through rush. Mainly because I pictured myself standing frozen in the middle of a sorority house too terrified to speak to anyone! haha

But all of the ladies who jumped out of the woodwork to help me really made me feel good. Maybe rush wouldn't be so scary afterall if the sorority sisters I meet there are as nice and helpful as you have been to me!

And I also wanted to say that I am very sorry that my question started so much argument. I didn't mean for that to happen and I hope that no one here is upset with me because I have only a good opinion of everyone that tried to offer me help.

Thanks again,
Caitie

Catie,
I also wish you the best of luck with your boyfriend situation and in rush next year!
I do not mean to start arguments either...only wanted to provide you with what seems to be an underrepresented perspective...as always, just one of many here. *s*

Just kind of ecoing what everyone else has said, I wish you the best of luck in whatever you decide with the whole staying at the frat house situation....and good luck at rush!!! And if you're looking for information on rush, I know someone else mentioned this, but definitely search through the rush threads, and if you have any questions that you haven't found answered, DEFINITELY post, because GCers love to help!!!!

Recruitment at KSU

Hey Caitie! From a sorority girl at Kent State Unversity who went through recuitment in the spring, here are a few tips:

1. Look on those boards around campus with all of the flyers on them! That's usually where sororities post flyers announcing their individual spring recruitment.

2. Look in the back of the Daily Kent Stater where the Classified ads are. On Tuesdays and Thursdays they post Greek Beats and a sorority doing spring recruiment will more than likely put a notice in Greek Beats.

3. Ask around. If you know any girls in a sorority and are interested in going through their recruitment, ask your friend when it is or tell them that you're interested in going through.

I hope that helps! Good luck!
