Rocky Top vs. American Flag???

Ok, so I'm not trying to start an online war between UK and UT fans.....but I have a huge question??? While the UK band was on the field for halftime, we were doing a patriotic theme for one of our song selections. Several Kentuckian's who were serving in Iraq were able to come home for the holidays. In tribute of this we played "Battle Hymn Chorale", the big screens in the stadium showed veterans across the nation, several Kentucky State police marched along side us, and in the middle of our song we displayed a huge American flag.

Well, in the middle of our song the UT football team came out - so what did the UT band do? They played Rocky Top!!! Okay, so its one thing to disrepect us, b/c we don't get along and that's okay both sides are used to it. However, the American Flag was on the field!!!!! Several people were standing and veterans stood before us. Veterans actually were standing up!!!!! Old and young!!!!! What on earth made the UT band play Rocky Top at this time? It was rude and very disrespectful to American veterans. I was really upset! I know football is important to UT fans, but compared to veterans and soliders who are risking their life in Iraq????

Does anyone else think this is wrong?
