Cingular (?) Sorority Commercial
I just saw a commercial for Cingular Wireless (Could have been Sprint) that had the monotone sounding dude telling a sorority that their nightime minutes now started at 7PM and they all went nuts screaming. I thought it was funny. As far as greek centered commercials go, I though tthis one was pretty lighthearted.

Hahaha, I just saw that during Gilmore Girls. It's hilarious. I also liked the fraternity one they made with the picture phone with the guys in the fraternity playing pranks and sending pictures to each other.

What! Nighttime minutes start at 7pm?
Shoot, I'd go nuts too.

It was Sprint.
They used the same Fox-Mulderesque spokesman as in the rest of their campaign.
Definitely good for a giggle.

yea boo to at&t and minutes starting at 9! Have you guys seen the round table commercial where the rather large spokesman is talking to the fraternity guys about the meaty pizza or something and he's asking if it's better than toga parties and stuff and they say "Yea!" until he asks if it's better than sorority pillow fights and they say no....then the guy goes "yea but you had to think about it" I like that one. hehe

I am pretty sure you can get Sprint to offer you their new 7 pm nighttime minutes... I can't remember if it is a new Texas or national law, but now you will be able to keep your cell phone number if you switch carriers, so cell phone companies will be trying really hard to keep their customers.
I would recommend just calling up the Sprint rep. and ask them.. if they say it only applies to new customers, tell them some other cell phone company is offering you a really good deal. Usually after that they will bend over backwards to help you out and keep you a customer
p.s. the commercials sound cute
ETA: It's going to be a federal law.. I just found an article about it here: http://www.msnbc.com/news/992185.asp?0cv=KB20&cp1=1

Yup.
Sprint last year experienced a historic event for a cell phone company. They had a net loss in customers.
In response they have just about the most aggressive retention department in existance.
My advice is to call and threaten to cancel as soon as your Sprint contract runs out. Before doing so, research all other rates in your area and they will make you a deal that will beat all others (or at least be something you'll be happy with). I can confirm that yes, they can give you 7PM N&W minutes. Just tell them that Cingular said they'd give them to you

Really? that odd because I'm with Rogers AT&T (it's a Canadian Carrier)... though I'm on an old corporate plan (dont' know HOW I got on it, and I never complained) and if I were to switch plans my night time hours would start at 7 or 8 (depending on the plan).
