PISSED!!
Talk about starting my day off wrong....
I'm in the middle of my peaceful slumber last night/this morning when someone very loudly knocks on my door at ooohhh about 5:30am. I wake up, thinking it was a dream or something, but someone knocks again. So I get up and go to the door. It's the police!
Why have two teenage boys, a 14 yr old and a 17 yr old, stolen my Jeep!? But why did the officer proceed to tell me that they chased these idiots throughout town, through swamps (I didn't even know there were swamps in Ann Arbor, but ok) and finally ending up to the point where these boys crashed my Jeep into a ditch where it rolls completely over!!
Needless to say, my Jeep is totaled and I have to be at work in about an hour and a half!
I'm sorry for this random post, but I just had to tell someone this cuz I really can't sleep. It just makes me sick that our youth have nothing better to do than to break the law. Ugh, when is the madness gonna end?!
Ok, I'm gonna go and try to find a way to work. Thanks for listening.

I'm so sorry to hear that ZChi.
Where were these boys parents? Why were they running the streets at that time of morning?
Remember, material things can be replaced.

I feel for ya girl! I know how it feels to not have a car. My car has been sick for 3 weeks. I was going to work one morning, and it just stopped. I am thankful that it stopped just before I got on the bridge. I am terrified of bridges. It has taken 3 weeks for the dealer to get the part in so my brother-in-law to be can fix it. I have been so angry. My student told me that it might be the Lords way of giving my body a bit of needed rest. I thought about it, and maybe that's true. Everything happens for a reason be it bad or good.
A very special person recently told me that "the sun never stops shining."

Yeah, ZChi...I am so sorry to hear about this.
YES, matierial things can be replace, BUT when someone has taken something from you that is not THEIRS in this matter, you feel VIOLATED!
My car has NOT been stolen, but my purse has...and even though I replaced it, the feeling of being violated never left me!

Through all of this I know you're pissed, but keep in mind that God has a plan. Maybe now you'll get an even better Jeep. Keep your head up and try to stay positive. I thank God they didn't try to come in your house or something even more serious!

Thank you all for your concerns and kind words. I was thinking the same thing after it all happened. Those fools coulda came up in my place or I could've been out driving home or something like that. So I definitely thank God that this happened the way it did. Lord only knows what I would've done if it had been otherwise!
I'm not that mad that they took my Jeep b/c I have insurance and all. It's the the whole inconvience part of it. I had to work this morning and luckily, I have sorors and friends I can call on to help me out If I didn't, I would've had to take 2 buses to get to work! Not that I can't take the bus, but it's so nice and easy to just jump in my car and go. I definitely think this happened for a reason cuz there are times when I personally take things for granted or get so used to things that I don't appreciate how lucky I am.
I guess we all do that sometimes though...
Well, I guess I'm still a little upset those little kids thought it was fun to take my car though. That was my college grad present! I've only had it for about 4 or 5 mths now. I worked so hard to get it! I'm just one of those people that like to have the original things that people bought me. I know I can get another one to replace it, but it won't be the one I specially picked out when I was able to finally get it, ya know? Dang kids! They shoulda been home sleeping like everybody else! Boooo on them!

I understand that!! Well said.
ZChi, praise God that at least your car was found, and the perpertrators were apprehended, though I can understand that fact may or may not mitigate your loss(es). Perhaps the Lord may be telling you something. Stay in prayer.
As far as car accidents, last week I swerved to avoid a stalled car sitting in the middle of the left lane (Not the berm, mind you). I wound up doing a 180 facing the oncoming traffic (thank God no one was hit or hurt and that traffic was rather light, given that this occured on a major city freeway). I was OK, but badly shook up. Then last night, a deer hit my car and badly dented my fender, and dented my driver side door, busting the lock so I cant open my door from the outside. There is still deer fur on the trim of my car and blood on the door. Since I have no comprehensive coverage (I have a '88 Honda), so the insurance won't cover it . Someone told me that because I am complete in God and have been delivered from a major sin, the devil is mad at me and is trying to kill me. But he can't 'cause God's grace is sufficient.
ZChi, I will pray for you, and you too, Conskeeted.

Thank you very much for your prayers, Rain Man and everyone else that has said a prayer for me. I will keep you all in my prayers too. The Lord certainly works in mysterious ways....

This is gonna be a long one, bear with me!
I declare....everytime I come on here about to start a topic, someone else has started it already...I love this forum, you guys seem to know exactly what everyone needs and when. ZCHI I am soo sorry about your car, but it's going to be okay.
I was coming on to post about the events of my day yesterday. Started off in BROAD DAYLIGHT, around 2 p.m. I work in a pharmacy, and everyone had the urge for some Iced Tea. I volunteered to go the a restaurant up the street and get some. As I am leaving my store, right as I walk out the door, evidently the store across the street had just been robbed. The perp was running through our parking lot and he ran right into me and pushed me down, he had a gun in one hand and a brick in the other (where/why the brick...I don't know!) So he keeps running and the police cars come flying through the parking lot (how they were on his tail that quick, I don't know). One of the cops stops to ask if I am okay, and to ask me if I saw anything, and if I could also give a description and point out where he went, etc. Ya'll I am so glad that I didn't have my nametag on so that could have come back and ask me ANY questions!!! But like I was telling my mom, that situation could have turned bad really quick, what if he would've fallen when he knocked me over and the police would have caught up with him right then, he could have started shooting at the police and I could have been an "innocent bystander" statistic. Or he could have decided to grab me to try to get away...I am so glad that God's angels were encamped around me, that could've been a bad situation....All for some dern Iced Tea
BUT...that's not all!!! After work, me and my sister decided to go to the Mall. Upon leaving the mall, we were walking to our car, and this car is slowly following us...now we were parked pretty far, and we were like "I know he's not gonna follow us all the way up to the car, thinking we have a close park" So after about 30 seconds of him following us, we turn around and look at the car, as it's getting closer to us. His window was down, and he stops right beside us, and he is in the car just masturbating. Now we were like "You SICK 'so-and so'" At first we just screamed...and I know some of you may think this is funny, and at first we laughed to but now I don't. After I got home and tried to forget about it, all I can see is his face looking at me, and I can't forget what he was doing, and to think that he was watching us the whole time...Ya'll I feel almost like I was violated. I mean, I don't want to sound like I am going off the deep end...but if that's what you choose to do at home...whatever, but in a mall parking lot on a Saturday Afternoon, in broad daylight...when there are kids running around, that's sick. We got his plates and turned them in to a policeman a few rows over. But I just can't get this off of my mind.
Then on top of that!!!!
I ate a Philly Cheesesteak from the Steak Factory in the Mall, and I am SOOOOO sick today that I didn't go to work. I think I have a touch of food poisoning.
I am sooo sorry about my long post...thanks for letting me vent!

ZChi,
I am so sorry for you lost. I had my car stolen from right in from of my house. I got it back, but still I know how frustrating it is when somebody takes what you worked so hard for. Everything is happening for a reason.
onesavvydiva, Relax,Relate,Release! Girl you had some kind of day didn't you. That guy has issues. Kind of reminds me of when I was working at night taking phone orders and had to listen to creeps like that while they were ordering something they saw on tv. GROSS,GROSS, and triple GROSS!
If you guys need a shoulder to cry on or just need to vent, feel free to email me!

I know the feeling of being violated. A few months ago, I stopped at a resturaunt on my way to the airport on a business trip. My co-worker and I were in there 30 minutes, when we got back to the car, ALL of our luggage was stolen, including my wedding ring. I had to go work in a warehouse that evening, so I decided to put it in my makeup bag so no one would see it if they looked in my bag at the airport. I was soo ANGRY!! It took a lot of prayer to get over being angry. Sometimes I still get mad when I think about it.
