Zeta's 100th Birthday Party

Last night twelve Southern California Zeta alumnae attended Marie Buek Adair's 100th birthday party in Arcadia. There were over 200 well-wishers on hand to help her celebrate in style. Marie received over 300 birthday cards, at least 100 of which appeared to be from Zetas, according to the hostess. She was "showered" with the cards last night, and it may take her until she's 101 to open them all!

District President Rondi Werner presented Marie with her 75-year charm and certificate on behalf of the fraternity. She was so excited she practically sprang from her chair to receive the award and admired it for the rest of the evening. Most of us had never seen a 75-year charm, so we admired it too.

Marie received congratulatory certificates from George & Laura Bush, both CA State senators, a Kansas senator, several local politicians and many organizations that she continues to serve.

Thank you all who sent cards; she said she would open them little by little to prolong the fun!
