I bought a new mouse

Yes, something so ordinary one may think this thread is crazy, as I probably am. But I love this mouse! It's the Microsoft Wireless Optical 2.0...cool black and steel look, is optical and wireless, and the weird part is the scroll wheel - it's smooth (doesn't click as you move it...) and it tilts to the right and left so you can scroll those wide webpages or to see an entire picture or something. quite cool!

So, everyone, what type of computer accessories do you have? The same one from your first computer 10 years ago? Or the latest and greatest stuff? Wireless? Optical? Wired and yellowing beige looks? Speak up!

In everyone humble opinions, is a wireless keyboard really needed????

My folks got me a wireless keyboard/mouse for Xmas last year. I had to buy rechargable batteries because the optical mouse kept eating them. I kind of like the lack of cords though.

I have a Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard that I got for Christmas two years ago because GPBoy had them and I wanted them. I love them and will never ever go back...

So, are y'all using the optical mouse for desktops or laptops? I was thinking of getting one for my laptop.

The next computer "toy" I'm going to buy is the cellphone hookup for my laptop. It'll make those loooonnngggg waits in airports a little more interesting!

Also, when I saw the title I thought you got a new PET mouse. I was like nice for you.

Up at school, I have the wireless mouse and keyboard. Back at home, I have the original mouse and keyboard that came with the computer. To me, I don't have a preference. A mouse is a mouse.

Hee hee, everything I own on my computer is connected by wires. I even have 56k dial up internet connection. I am so tech-challenged.

Hannah - for a cheap one, $20-25. For a decent one, $35+. I got a nice Microsoft one that retails for 40 for 28 because of a walmart price mistake

I just got a new computer, with a flat screen monitor. Yummy! I have an optical mouse too.

but my FAVORITE new toy has been the wireless card I got for my laptop (another fave toy that I got in 1998 - a Sony Picturebook!) On my trip last week to Austin, I was surfing the whole time in the airport, for a small fee.

I am SO addicted to WiFi now...just wish more places here in South FL offered it!

I have a really stupid reaction whenever I see the name on this thread.

Since I can remember the days before everyone had a computer, this always reminds me of the cute little white mice we had in an elementary school classroom.

When summer came, someone needed to take them home, so I agreed to take two "males" home.

40 plus cute little white mice later, we sold the to a pet shop.

We had a similar story with 2 bunny rabbits my father brought home one Easter.

We peaked a year or so later, with 80+. Mom got fed up & sold them to a "farmer" - or so she said - after we had them for 4-5 years.
