Savoy Magazine

Savoy took the place of Emerge. I received the premiere issue last month and was not too impressed. So, when I got the March 2001 issue in the mail last week I was in no rush to read it.

I read it Friday night and this time, I was impressed. The articles in this issue are great, especially page 40. We had a thread on this same issue that got the lock down because some were offended.

If anyone is interested in reading the magazine, it has the Eriq LaSalle on the front cover. His interview was pretty good as well. I don't know if its on newsstands as of yet, but I think this one is worth $2.99!

I flipped through a copy of the premiere issue recently while preparing for a flight.

I thought the magazine was a lot "slicker" (photographically speaking) and more conservative in political leanings than Emerge. It was "cutting" and a lot more moderate than it's precedent....but I wasn't compelled to subscribe to it.
