Owens to Philly

Before an arbitrator could rule on it, apparently TO got his wish and got sent to Philadelphia. Baltimore apparently decided Owens was more trouble than he was worth, and was compensated for the whole deal.

I think a fifth round pick for the Ravens for putting up with TO for two weeks is a pretty good deal...anybody know if Philly's somewhere on their schedule this upcoming season?

I'm an Eagles fan and I'm happy about TO coming to the birds. However we play Baltimore this season at home and I dont want to deal with an angry Ray Lewis (one of my fav linebackers). I'm just happy this is over and done with.

They still won't win the Super Bowl. "Kordell" Mcnabb will be overthrowing/underthrowing TO.

You all forget the Patriots are going to repeat anyway...........

j/k....or maybe not Bye Ty.....we cut the Lawyer and won the Superbowl......we'll cut the Law too and win another....

I guess in the NFL, if you have the talent, you can cry and whine until you get away with your stupidity.

But I can't hate, TO is the man.

I dunno.. throw a decent receiver into the mix and you never know what it'll be like. I've seen so many of McNabb's passes bounce right off the chests of his receivers. I guess we'll know after this year. If TO can't catch a McNabb pass, it's time to find a new guy to put under center.

Don't think the Pats are going to cut Law...his salary isn't bad at all, and he's the best corner in the league. They're getting him for a somewhat bargain price, and it's in his best interests to play well next year; 30-year old corners can't tank it in their contract year.

The Eagles improved a lot this offseason with Owens and Kearse. They should be pretty damn solid this season.

LJ will run by Lewis and drag him into the end zone for a td, if need be.

Its funny, on another site I visit, a redskin fan asked that very question about the eagles vs. ravens. My response was, how will it feel to watch Ramsey or Brunell get blacktopped by Kearse in the two games they play this year

Very true, McNabb had Harrison to throw to in college and did "alright" there

Blacktopped? only if they play each other in the first two games, before Kearse stubs a toe and is out for the next two seasons...

Don't make chit up. I saw every game and I used to have season tickets. You probably only saw one game. The NFC championship game. After 5 games Mcnabb was the lowest rated QB in the league with a total of 0 tds and he sucked. He finised the season with a total of 13 and only 5 were to his receivers. Most of his td passes were screens that the running backs converted. Brian Westbrook was their MVP not Kordell Mcnabb. The previous year when Mcnabb was hurt the Eagles went 5-1 without him.

What the hell does that prove? That was college not the NFL. Ty Detmer was the all time leading passer in NCAA history but that doesn't make him a great NFL QB.

Syracuse didn't even run a pro style offense. They ran the option. That is probably why Mcnabb is so inaccurate and has no touch.

If McNabb is so terrible, than why has he made four pro bowls then? I can't say I like or dislike the guy but I'd rather have him over most other qb's in the league.

The pro bowl is a joke. One year Gus Ferrotte and Trent Dilfer made the pro bowl. It is usually a popularity contest and many of the top QBs even try to get out of going. There are usually 6 QBs named to the pro bowl but then the top 1 or 2 QBs cant make it because of injury and 8 get named to the squad. That's a quater of the league. Mcnabb is an average QB in a league with a lot of bad QBs.
