Are low waisted Jeans skanky tacky?

I was just talking to a lady that told me that low waisted pants are generally considered skanky at her school.

I was wondering what the general opinion of GC was?

I just thought low waisted pants on a hard body was hot.

I was that lady.

Low waisted jeans lack all class. No one wears them here, thank god.

My answer is yes and no.

Personally, I love low jeans. I like the way they hold on for dear life on my hips.

But, I CANNOT STAND IT when I see people wearing them and underwear is showing...if not that, then asscracks/coin slots/whatever. That, IMO, is tacky.

While I hardly consider low waisted jeans as skanky, I'd hate for anyone to think of me that way. I've seen other articles of clothing that are definitely worse.

While I'm proud of my body and I feel like I have a right to show off my midriff if I want, there's a time and place for everything.

Ditto.

Low-rise jeans are sexy until you can see underwear hanging out or ass cracks. There are just some things that were made to stay hidden.

And of course it all depends on context.

I agree. Low waist jeans are skanky when your underwear (or lack thereof), butt crack and/or butt cheeks are showing. Disgusting.

I don't know ladies . . .

If the girl is hot, I don't think most guys mind seeing her thong or partially revealed rear-end.

I think it all depends on who is wearing it. I have to agree with James if the girl looks good and she is showing of her thong or butt crack I doubt many guys would complain unless they are religous or in the presence of the mother or gf/wife. lol

Yeah, but we're not discussing whether or not men find it attractive; we're discussing whether or not it's trashy.

There are a number of things that men find attractive that are pretty skanky.

I like low-waisted jeans. They just look better on me. But I agree with everyone else... if the underwear is showing or you can see some crack, it's not cool. Also, hate to say it, but there are some people who should just not wear them.

I couldn't agree more.

I don't feel regular low cut jeans are tacky(depending on how they are worn of course) but those super duper low rise jeans I do find somewhat tacky, but that's just me

I wear low-waisted jeans out. I make sure my thong isn't hanging out, and when I walk up a stair case I make sure nothing is showing. I've worn low-waisted jeans with shirts that show off my midriff--I'm not self-consious about it nor am I a skank. I've never thought about the association before, just regarded it as a fashion trend.

I was walking through the local mall the other day, and saw this drop dead gorgeous woman headed towards me - you know, the type that makes you gasp and you just know that Beloved is scorching his retinas?

As she got closer, we could both see her thong - from the front. It completely detracted from her looks.

God bless him, Beloved said, "She's too pretty to dress so trashy!"

Guys may like the look, but showing all you own isn't the way to their hearts!

The way I see it, I have a nice body, I don't wear them low enough for someone to see my G-string or bootie crack--what's so trashy about that?

If you've got it, flaunt it. Who am I to hate on anyone?
