Scrapbook ideas/designs
Hey guys. We had our chapter meeting tonight. We started early at 5pm, and it ended at 12:00am which is good I realize. As a new member, I ran for the Histor position, and I an now the Histor Elect. I know that I'll have to make a Scrapbook of what we do, candid moments, etc. I was curious on what ideas that you guys can give me, besides mirroring our current histor and asking fraters in my chapter. One of the ideas I was thinking about was making a page devoted to the houses that one memeber, or a few guys of the chapter have visited. Another thing I was curious about was what designs are out there besides the basic book style. I want to keep the book style, but I want to mix it up a little different and give it a little touch that sets it apart from the other scrap books we have.
YITB,
Kevin Luke

Sorry to barge in, but ...
Have you ever thought about checkin into a company called Creative Memories? They sell scrapbooks, and all sorts of stuff that makes putting them together not so tedious. They even have a sticker set with Greek letters, and stuff about rush, big/lil, and stuff like that. The stuff's really good quality so it'll last for a very long time, it's all acid free and that kinda shit. Craft stores usually have stuff too. Ask one of the sororities on campus, i'm sure one of their girls does scrapbooking.
Good Luck,
Stephanie

Kevin,
When I was Historian my sophomore-junior year for, I splurged on a lot of creative memories stuff and completely redid the way that we scrapbook. I don't think that's exactly what the guys have in mind with the stickers and all the cute stuff. However, Creative Memories does make these awesome black scrapbooks that look very... I guess regal is the best word I can think of. If Brad put enough $$$ in next semester's budget (haha, that's my boy) for Histor, then you might be able to buy one of those books. I will warn you that I dropped about 30 bucks on a book alone when I bought one for Alpha Phi and for when I decided to scrapbook on my own.
If you want, I can show you my scrapbook sometime, but I have to warn you that it's pretty girly. Depending on who the new Historian is for us, I'll see if she'll let me borrow it for a few days to show you ours. You obviously won't want to make cutesy-wutesy designs like I did, but you might get some ideas from the way I laid things out.
Good luck. Historian is a fun job, no matter what the organization.

Thanks Nicole. Sure, if ya can get yer hands on it, I'd like to see it. Yeah, the "girly" designs won't go over well. lol If nothing else, I'll have to see what else I could come up with.
