Panhellenic Council

We have CPC elections coming up - what do the different offices do? I was trying to find stuff online on the npc site, but I didn't have much luck.

Thanks!!!

It depends from campus to campus how many officers there are and what their responsibilities are. Ask the current Panhellenic officers or your Panhellenic Advisor if you are interested.

I'm not sure if you are asking because you are interested in running for a position, but let me give you my take on it anyway...

I was on Panhel for a year as Homecoming and Greek Week chair a few years ago. It was one of the best Greek experiences I had in college. Being part of Panhel gave me the opportunity to get to know other Greeks and feel more like I was part of the system as a whole. It is a great experience!

Doesn't your CPC provide you with a job description?

I was Editor of the Panhel then Greek newsletter for 3 years. I absolutely loved being at the Panhel meetings. I think it made me love my own sorority even more (if possible!) and I learned to be more tolerant of sororities that I didn't much care for prior to being on Panhel. It's definitely one of the best experiences a sorority woman can have!

It really depends on your school I know at my school there are three Panhellenic officers and they rotate between the three sororities... so every three years each chapter gets the presidency, secretary and treasurer, it's the responsibility of the chapters to choose who is going to fill the office they get for that year. It is definitely a GREAT thing to get involved in to meet people and really get to know about the other sororities and greek life, especially the innerworkings of rush ! good luck and have fun if you decide to get involved !
