Talking Looking For Grad Chapter Members in NJ

I currently attend a 4-year school in northern NJ that doesn't have an active chapter of AKA. My friends and I have expressed our interest to various actives who have instructed us to find the nearest Grad Chapter via AKA's national website. Since then, about a month has passed and none of our phone calls or e-mails have been returned. If you are a Grad Chapter member in the area or happen to have some advice for us, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Introductions first-
Happy New Year Sorors!
I am a longtime silent monitor from NJ. I was made Fall 96 in Omicron Xi Omega chapter.

Spankee,
There are at least 10 grad chapters among Bergen/Essex/Union/Morris/Passaic/and Hudson Counties. My advice is to contact the chapter closest to you asking for information about their upcoming events calendar, NOT membership intake. Then begin attending any and all public activities sponsored by that chapter. Also, you are certain to meet one of my sorors by getting involved in committees and service activities in your community. Membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha on the graduate level is by invitation only, so it's all about networking.
Good luck in your endeavor. You may e mail me if you have any other questions.
