Talking Return of the King

OK all you "Lord of the Rings" fans, check out the official website for the ALL NEW "Return of the King" preview.

Let's talk about it! It looks incredible!

Click here to go to the Official Lord of the Rings site to view the preview!

What are you most looking forward to with this movie? What did you see in the preview that you liked? Disliked?

If you've read the books, what are you scared they will ruin? I will reply once the thread gets hopping (oh, please let it get hopping!).

woahhhhh this trailer is awesome.

the part where eldrond gives aragorn the sword and tells him "become who you were born to be" is hot.

then the part where it says

"there can be no triumph without loss" "no victory without suffering"

i cant believe its been 3 years

Oh MY GOD! I can't wait....I am so excited...Did you all see that you can geek out for a whole day with the trilogy on the big screen?

I feel like I am Homer Simpson-ing with the weird drooly type noise when he sees food or beer.

I've read the books and quite honestly, Peter Jackson is doing a fabulous job. Yeah, he took some license, but you have to make it watchable....EVERYTHING looks out-friggin-standing!

78 days and counting!

Sweet

I am so excited about this movie. The books are obviously the best literature written in the last 100 years, but the movies are up there as well. I won't be seeing that many movies this winter, but I will most definately see this... Well, I prob'ly will see a few... Lets see, this of course, Veronica Guerin (Oscar Nom. for sure), Kill Bill,... Okay, maybe I will be seeing a bunch of movies...

I'm hoping they didn't destroy the story as much as they did in TTT.

Oh my GOOOOOOOOOOD it looks so good!!!! I cannot wait!

Can I just say, my only apprehension is that I hope they don't put in those random ass sappy Arwen scenes in again. The ones in TTT were so misplaced and sloooow as hell!

But other than that YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY, I really don't know how I shall survive until that glorious day of Tolkien bliss arrives!

C'MON

The Arwin scenes were not that bad, I am hoping the center of the story will be replaced in the Extended Edition that comes out next month. I hear almost an hour will be devoted to helm's deep and other battle scenes and story lines. The Boromir/Faramir story will be elaborated on, etc. This should bring TTT back into perspective. Also, I don't blame PJ for the love scenes, it is what HAD to be done to get the okay of Hollywood. Sometimes you have to feed the beast to stay alive. He is leaving the Extended Edition for the fans.

Ooooh! I love the trailer.
I can't wait until it comes out!
We're going to be totally CSers and wait in line for three hours before it starts so we get good seats.

I heard that ROTK is 4 HOURS LONG with an intermission!!! KICK ASS!!!

I never expected to like the movies as much as I do...

I don't want the king's niece and Aragon to get together...HE BELONGS WITH ARAWEN!!!!

Damn it if Legolas isn't the hottest Elf in Middle Earth....DAMN!!! Everytime he comes on screen, I swoon

Now, as you can tell, I've never read the books, because I know some of the questions I have can easily be answered, BUT I DON'T WANNA KNOW!!!

OK, those who don't know, let's speculate...Who's going to get killed off????

I've read the books, and i've seen the first two on openign day. this time i'm going to try to see it at the midnigth premiere. I've read the books. I think in this one because id otn want to give too much away, for those that thought the Helm's Deep battle sequence kicked ass in The Two Towers, the final battle sequence in Return of the King, if done properly(and i have every reason to believe they did) will make the Helm's Deep sequence look like shit. heheheheI"M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!

From what I hear, it is going to be crazy. On the TTT DVD, they have the design and making of the battle, and it is going to be like 10 times the size of Helm's Deep. I know a lot of the theaters are going to show the first two films, in extended form, on the big screen directly before the RotK on opening day. I am going to just watch them at home over the whole day, my butt would get too sore if I spent all that time in the theater, also, I want to pause for food and bathroom breaks... As soon as the Extended Edition comes out on the 18th next month, I am going to get it ready for that screening... I am pretty excited, I love these films.
