Sister/Friend Quotes

I was going through my old Mary Engelbreit calendars (4 years worth- I love her!) and found some good quotes on friendship. If the picture noted who said the quote, I indicated it. If not, I guess Mary Engelbreit said them... (Any typos are my fault completely- it's still early here!)

***Do you have any others? How can we use these in ADPi? Maybe on posters at chapter retreat... Maybe your pride culd write notes to the rest of the chapter using these quotes... Put one a week at the bottom of the meeting agenda... What else?

Does every chapter have all the sisters write notes of congratulations to each of the New Initiates? We always did, and that's when we trotted out a lot of good quotes. One that I'll always remember is "A friend is a present you give yourself."

when I was initiated I did get notes of congratulations from all of the actives in the chapter. I wish I still knew where they were, I was young (18) and stupid so I probably accidently threw them away, but I did get them.

Our chapter had notes from the Lion, Violet, Pi and Diamond Sisters given to the new initiates on the days leading up to initiation (e.g. Violet sis would give her note on Black <> ceremony, Lion at Blue & White Day, Pi and Diamond sister on initiation day)

I think I like the idea of all the sisters writing notes of congratulations to all the new initiates, but in a large chapter, that would be A LOT of writing!

LOL - that's why I asked! You'd probably have to start a week before Initiation! Our New Member classes were between 8-15 and you started to say the same thing. I can't even imagine writing 90+ notes!!

But we're hijacking WLFEO's thread. This is from an older Alpha Delta Pi brochure:
