Direct TV/VCR question
After keeping me waiting for five hours during our move, the Direct TV man insisted on hooking up our VCR himself because it was "tricky". I've tried to set the VCR to tape my shows on the different channels, but I can't get it to work. The times are right, but all I get is a black screen. Not static, all black.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Is this all a scam so we have to buy the DVR/Tivo combo and pay Direct TV $4.99 a month to use?
