Question for girls with wavy hair

As I'm getting ready for an interview that I have in an hour and a half, i'm having issues pulling my hair back. I have slightly wavy hair..... and I can never get it to be "bump" free when I pull it all back, or even part of it back. I'm definately no good at doing hair, hence why I wear it down all the time. I'm just wondering if there's any tricks or tools (sprays, gels, etc.) that help alleviate this problem.

lol! try a straightening iron- it takes out curl and wave really well!!!
as for products, shine serums can help control some, but if you want good hold and stuff, try something like KMS Flat Out straightening balm- it is a gel

What I always did was use Control Freak by Bed Head. You apply that to your semi-wet hair. Blow dry straight. Then if you have ultra wavy hair I'd use a straightening iron. However what I do then is simply go through my hair with a slightly wet comb and pull back as needed. Then I'm free to mess with the ends as I want. Then if needed blow dry the top on low.

Another way to wear your hair in a semi-sexy professional look is to part your hair while it's still wet, pull it back and tie. Then blow dry ONLY the ends and style however you want. It looks really cute that way and with it being wet on top it'll be more apt to dry straight. If need-be spray with hair spray to keep from fly-aways.

Thanks, ladies, for the advice!
My hair itself will go fairly straight, so I don't know how much a hair straightener would work. I think it's also because I have pretty thick hair.... There's just too much of it to get it to lay down flat on my head like it's supposed to I think it's probably about time to buy some hair balm.
Thanks again!

Your texture sounds like you need to blow dry it to make it lay down, lol.

Buy some Friz Ease Blow Drying serum and go to town!
