What are you doing for Founders' Day?
Since it's quickly approaching, I thought I'd start a thread for us to share our Founders' Day activities.
I just moved to a new state, so I probably won't know a soul at my local celebration, but it'll be a great chance to meet some new sisters.
What will you be doing?

We're doing a big Founders' Day celebration at LMU with area collegiate and alumnae chapters. Because NPC ends that weekend we'll have lots of really fun people visiting.
We intend to show them why the Southwest is Best!!!!!

Our area alumnae and collegiates are meeting at a local coffeehouse. We have rented a private room but have total use of the facility. It will be nice as it will be laid back and we can stay for a little while or the whole morning .I am looking forward to it.
By the way Valkyrie, glad to see you back.Hope the move went well and everything made it in one piece.

We are having a brunch at a restaurant in Cambridge. Nice and simple. Our alum chapter is going through a bit of a transition, so I'm hoping that some new faces come out for it.

The San Jose State chapter is holding a luncheon for the collegiates and alum in the Bay Area and holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony for their newly renovated chapter house!
I'm planning on bringing my digital camera, so I'll post pictures afterwards! It will be held on October 12th.

The Vancouver Ivy Connection/Vancouver Alumnae Chapter will be hosting an alumnae-only Founders Day Celebration with the aim of bringing the generations of Vancouver Alpha Phis together. The event is Sunday, Oct. 19.

I'm going to the Atlanta alum group's Founder's Day Brunch. One of the executive board members is speaking again this year. It's always a lovely affair. My momma is going with me (also an Alpha Phi alum). The past two years she's come in town to go with me.

I know that the Tampa Bay Alumnae Chapter always has a Founder's Day Luncheon around that time. I've gone ever since I've been a sister, but this year we have an intramural football game the same day as the luncheon. I'm torn as to what to do. Oh yeah, and that's the same day as our Court of Ivy! It's getting close! (The date would be October 18th.)

Jess - that is so awesome!!! Is that chapter hosting it again because of the new house? I though they generally rotated....anyway...
I tried to ask around about what my region does for founders day but everyone gave me a kind of "what are you talking about?" look so I'm afraid they don't do anything up here! We have Sac state, UCD and other a-phi chapters nearby I don't see why we wouldn't celebrate it.
Maybe I'm just asking the wrong people?

Hey Nicolle!
We do generally rotate as to who sponsors and plans Founder's Day, but SJSU has a great new house to show off!
I remember Chico and UC Davis being at one of our Founder's Day events in the Bay Area one year. You should talk to an Alum Chapter in your region. PM A CA in CA ! She's up in Sac and she should know what's going on!

Thanks for the PM Nicolle--I've been really busy at work.
Epsilon Gamma chapter is having an open house this Sunday along with the Sacramento Alumnae Chapter to celebrate both Founders Day and the 35th Anniversary of Epsilon Gamma Chapter!

I remember a sister sending me a beautiful Founder's Day e-mail about the ten founders. Does anyone know where I can find it? I want to send it out to my chapter before we go to Founder's Day lunch.

Oooh, if you find it, can you PM it to me? I'd love to send something out to my chapter.
