Coach Yoast(the coach played by Will Patton) is a Sigma Nu.

There was a big write-up about him in the Delta around the time when the movie was coming out. I even used this movie and specifically Brother Yoast's actions for a paper in my Diversity in Recreation class at A&M.

I don't generally watch "tear jerker" movies -- but this one was pretty good.

Yoast was the keynote speaker at Grand Chapter in '01. I was able to meet the guy. Told some great stories.

Great movie. One of the few that guys and girls can watch and enjoy together. Younger people too...my teenage sisters enjoy it a lot.

I LOVE that movie! On a side note, it gave great footage to the Tennessee Titans to use at their games

I love that movie...it was actually filmed at a high school in Alexandria, Va (i'm pretty sure, if not then arlington) that both my mother and aunt graduated from, and it's based on a true story.

Part of it was filmed in Atlanta and part was filmed up here out of the metro area at the other college in town. The cast and crew were in town for weeks and many, many locals are in it!

Well since I go to an all female institution in NC, during orientation we always make the freshwomen watch a movie and discuss how it relates to teamwork and getting along with different types of people. We always label the program" Remember the Belles"(our mascot). My class and the class before us watched it, but this year they watched "Drumline".

Part was filmed at the college my dad went to, and some was filmed at a high school very close to mine (the football stadium scenes). Many people from my high school were extras!

Okay,

It wasnt filmed in the DC area because at the time it was coming out I was a student at TC Williams myself. In fact, most of my family graduated from TC.

The coach that Denzel played was the same teacher that taught my mom and I. He later became a Driver Ed. teacher and he kicked me outta class one time.

Anyways, as a TC Williams High School graduate (1999) GO TITANS!!!! I am proud that my school has made impact on so many people. Even though, in the 70's I wasnt there.

Its all about the RED, WHITE, and BLUE!! Sorry, I was also a cheerleader.
