Bridesmaid Dresses
I recently got engaged and have been trying to plan things out for a summer wedding (2005) I have decided that I would like my bridesmaids to wear tea length dresses that are super cute, maybe white linen or toile. After searching all the wedding websites and Nordstorms, I was just wondering if anyone knew any super awesome boutiques or designers that carry dresses like this. Thanks~!

I found mine at David's Bridal, but they were not tea length. I dunno where else to look, but I would try a site that a friend of mine informed me about called bridesave.com. I guess it's got desiner dresses for less...and they may have bridesmaid dresses.

They have really really cute dresses - but not cheap.
I'm probably going with a very very simple dress from David's (my BMs are all spread out and are in professional graduate programs) and then hem it to tea length. I just can't decide if its formal enough for my otherwise very very formal daytime wedding.

I just went shopping with one of my little's who's getting married in March 2005. I was the first bridesmaid to go to David's with her, so I pretty much got to pick the dress
One thing I will say.... everything at David's was long. If you want tea-length, you may very well have to get them altered.
What do people think about the plaid that seems to be coming in? I'm not sure how I feel about patterns, especially plaid, on bridesmaid's dresses.
There also seemed to be A LOT of black. Call me traditional, but i'm a pretty firm believer that black is for funerals, not weddings.

I am the same way- I am too traditional according to my best friend... she keeps saying when I get married I HAVE to go to some place like David's so that the bridesmaids can pick out what looks best on THEM-
and I keep thinking, I don't HAVE to do anything! I like the traditional- all the bridesmaids in the same dress, same COLOR (Not black, or plaid or even white, or any form of white!).
But I guess I am crazy!

I've seen a couple of dresses this season in plaid, I still don't know what to think about it yet.
I really would like a linen dress. My friends in Atlanta told me about this store called Paper White, but I can't find it online anywhere.
Those splurge dresses are unbelieveable awesome. The ones I like the most are the ones that people can wear again. I bought one for $150 this year that was horrible (as in I would not wear it to a formal) I just want a plain, southern sorority girl wedding.

Speaking of bridesmaids dresses...one of my dearest friends asked me to be a bridesmaid last night! I am so excited. We're going shopping for the dresses this Sat.
