KAZAA downloaders
I've noticed lately that the newer mp3's that have come out are a bit of a problem. You'll get the first 15 seconds of the song but then a bunch a static. This happened when I tried downloading Nelly's "Tailfeather" and Mya's "My Love is Like Whoa". This didn't happen when I tried downloading a song that has been out for about three years. Is anyone else having this problem? Is this another one of those things the record companies are doing? (similar to last year when they produced a bunch of Eminem mp3's that just had the chorus playing continously)

I've had that happen to me too. I thought it was just a poor recording of the song.
I guess it is a possibility that the recording insudtry is doing this on purpose.

Try this:
Click on Advance Search.
Then on the Intergrity drop down menu choose excellent.
I'm told it will help with the static issues.

A lot of record companies have hired people to flood the networks with bad files. My favorite is the one with Madonna cursing at you.

That happened a few months ago to me when I tried downloading songs from Michelle Branch's new album... I read somewhere that the record company does that on purpose, it'll just have copies of the song that only play like 20 seconds of the song. I bought her new album anyway, and because of all the threats of lawsuits I deleted Kazaa all together a few months ago.

I got the same thing after I downloaded 50 Cent's PIMP...I just went back, scrolled down the list, and chose a "less popular" copy. This usually works for me.

Yeah, I think that the CD's are designed now with some techology that causes it to screw up when you rip an mp3 from a CD...it doesn't encode the way it used to.

my brother goes to a computer school, and one of his teachers said that he knows a lot of people who have just gotten hit with lawsuits from downloading stuff off kazaa. while it's hard to not do it (i'm going through withdrawal.....), the lawsuit thing is happening more than you'd think...
just thought i'd pass that along!
