Rush

We are excused from rush events if we are at work or class. Here's the problem: I am assistant rush, and I dont want to miss the first rush party, or pref night. However , if I would skip class, it's a class I have once a week...and it would be missing two classes in a row. I'm not sure what to do,,,should I just skip one? Which one? Please help!

if you have to miss one I would pick day one. I would ate to miss pref.

That is what I would do if I was you.

I agree with rainbowbrightCS. I'd hate to miss the first night too, but trust your sisters... go to class and then make pref night. Just my opinion.

we're here to be in school, and without school, sororities wouldn't exist in the first place (at least maybe not in the same form....

)

i can totally understand that missing recruitment events isn't fun (

) but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

so that way I will be able to attend Pref night

i would suggest going to the 1st party- how will you even get the girl(s) to pref if you aren't there day one?? just make sure you and another sister are with a given girl so they can be the one to pref her when you're not there.

Hmm...that's a tough one. I'd say go to class and then go to pref's night.

I think at some chapters you don't have a designated girl to "pref" - we never did. GC is really the first I heard of doing that. Our whole chapter "preffed" who we wanted.

Our chapter would try and work it to where a girl who came to pref night would be preffed by someone they talked to earlier that week. My experience, I was preffed by the woman who greeted me at the door on Open House Day...she was the sweetest person and we both were crying throughout the entire party! Unfortunately, it doesn't always work out that way, so we wind up preffing someone we've never met, which means a lot of scrambling around before the parties trying to learn about the woman from other sisters who have talked to her!

Well, I will be at the last two parties....so it's not like I'm never going to see these girls before pref...they have to attend 2 out of 3 parties...and pref night is something I really want to be with. I talked to the Rush chair and the VP *who is also standards board* and both of them are ok with my choice they told me they rather see me at pref....
