I love Slamball, and I recently wrote an article about it. Here's the intro:
It’s high-flying, non-stop, adrenaline-slamming action. I’m talking of none other than SlamBall, of course. Premiering in its second season on August 4th, SlamBall is part of The New TNN’s Slammin’ Saturday Night line up, which consists of their most successful shows arranged back-to-back every Saturday night. Let me just say right now, this is not another shint spin-off league like the XFL. It is the first team orientated extreme sport. SlamBall is a hybrid sport that crosses basketball, football, lacrosse, and hockey. It is played on a basketball-sized court with four trampolines configured near each basketball hoop. It is a sport that can be so surreal at times that it takes on the appearance of a video game, rather than reality. The players have been known to fly well over 5 feet above the backboard, about 20 feet off the ground, only to come slamming down with some of the most spectacular dunks that these eyes have ever seen performed in real life. As amazing as it seems, SlamBall has kept only a reserved audience in its first season, hence the title “The best-kept secret in extreme sports.”
