Has anyone used a GOOD composite company?? Fraternal Composties sucks and we're locked in a contract with them... But I want to leave my sisters with the name of a new company for next year.

Thanks

We have an independant person do it. she works at a studio of sorts up in madison and she does is way cheap. talk to the photographers in your area, they may be able to do it or have an idea. ours is 1/2 of what it would have been with fraternal...and more flexible

Wow, it sounds like Fraternal Composites isn't very highly regarded! If they give such awful service, bad attitudes, poor products and unfair contracts....why are organizations choosing to go with them?

My idea would be to have everyone write to their national headquarters and tell them about the extremely bad service. Then call on the HQ to put a notice in the national magazine warning chapters not to give this company their business. If enough chapters boycotted Fraternal Composites, they might finally get a clue.

They suck ass. Their photographers are perverts, the packages are expensive ($600 for a chapter of 30?!), and they essentially run a monopoly at my school. Allegedly, we have a contract with FC. When that is over, all organizations at my school will unilaterally pull out--we have discussed it and agreed on it.

2 words, Vantine Studios. Vantine Studios
They operate out of Hamilton, NY. But they travel a ways to do composites. We've never had a problem with them.

Careful though...some people have had negative experiences with Vantine as well...."buyer beware" and all that...
best to be aware of everything so that you can make an informed decision.

you might want to look locally. i think at least one sorority on our campus had their composites done by a local photographer and they came out looking great. also, maybe ask around at the college. one of our chapter advisors was a photographer for the school, so she actually went ahead and did our composites for us. they looked great and we got to do them outside so they were really unique.

We have ours done locally. Price is reasonable and quality is excellent from what I've seen (haven't recieved our first composites yet).

Vantine always does a beautiful job with ours.

After a couple of proofs are taken, you can view them on the computer to choose which one goes on the composite.

I think if you search around on Vantine, the jury is out. Some people have good experiences, others have had poopy experiences. I guess it's all about luck. Caveat emptor, baby!
