Bid Day Shirts

With rush starting in a couple of weeks, I just wanted to hear about some of the clever bid day shirts this Fall.

Our last year had our letters on the front on the top left and on the back it had a pic of a house with two girls in front and it said:

This is the year
These are the girls,
This is the HOUSE!
Alpha Xi Delta

It holds special meaning because we had just received a house (our houses are on campus only and you have to wait for a house to open, ie another chapter to close, and then apply for them) and we had been waiting for five years! So it was really great to have our own house for recruitment instead of using the first floor of a fraturnity house. It's a shirt I'll keep forever even though it's not exactly my fav color.

Our bid day shirt last year was simple, yet really nice. Our bid day theme was breakfast at Tiffany's our shirts were white fitted shirts with Sigma Kappa & Co. written in fake diamond rhine stones.

Our Bid Day isn't until January!! My favorite Bid Day shirt was one with the Starbuck's logo on a black shirt. At the bottom it said "A wonderful blend of laughter, smiles and fun." It was from one of those Greek t-shirt catalogs. It came out really cute and we got tons of compliments on it!

it has tv icon on the front left pocket with 'the phi sig show season premiere, bid day 2003'
on the back it has the names of the shows in their format:

'The Amazing Race' to find
Phi Sig's 'Most Wanted'

but we might go with the soap opera themed one

DG's have a white house on my campus and one year their Bid Day Shirt said: "It's every girl's dream to live in the white house." and it had a pic of their house on it. it was so cute.

Then KD's this year was cute..it had a high heel on it and it said "She's a Kay Dee...no one can fill her shoes."

This years bid day shirts are going to be soo cute....I can't wait! No one in my chapter but me, our president, and our advisor know what our shirts look like, so y'all should feel special!!

They are going to be dark blue shirts with an orange flower on the front left with Delta Gamma

I was sooo excited about these shirts....it wasn't my first choice (my first choice just happened to be picked by 2 other sororities on campus so kappa got it and alpha gam and dg had to change).
I like it for the fact that 2004 is our 125th anniversary at Akron and it just dates us.....guaranteed to last just seemed to fit!
