Summer time

Hi everyone!!! I just thought it would be nice to hear how everyone's summer is going... I anyone has any big vacations planned or if you are stuck in school like me!
Just wondering.... I hope that everyone is having a good summer!!!!

My summer has been alright. I moved back up to San Antonio at the end of May and had summer school all throughout June. I was in a car accident in the middle of June and haven’t worked since then because of a small injury. These past couple of weeks have been spent doing pretty much nothing. Yesterday was BearyCuteAPhi’s 21st birthday, so I will be going to Houston this weekend to help her celebrate. I will hopefully begin working again next week. Doing nothing gets pretty boring.

edited to add: I guess it was understood that I've been hanging out with my gals a lot, but I should say it. This summer would be nothing without my A-Phi "sistuhs."

My summer has been awesome hanging out and stuff seeing some great friends from high school come back to San Antonio for the summer. One of my really good friends is just in town this week since he has to go back to school to play football . But it's also been fun hanging out with my sisters and going out. THere are lots of boys and I've been doing all my Alpha Phi work for the fall semester!!! That's the life of VP of PD!! Well hope everyone else's summer is going well!!

ok...well my summer so far..has not be good..just working and taking summer classes..i cant believe i have been in huntsville for a year already...time just flew by...but i have one more year unti i finish my masters....i wish i was home more..especially now since my little is in san antonio...but hopefully i get to see her this weekend for our other sisters birthday bash weekend.....ugh....my car got hit on friday...some crazy lady hit the drivers side door of my new jetta....i am sooo sooo mad....and she doesnt have insurance...what is a sister to do?......but hopefully i can get some money off of her to pay for it....but i can only pray.........

Things happen for a reason!

This summer I'm working at Kennedy Space Center for Boeing in their Space Shuttle Orbiter Thermal Protection System/Materials and Processing group. I'm in my last 2 1/2 weeks and I'll actually be pretty sad to go. I feel like I actually helped out with some of the Columbia Accident Investigation, which meant a lot to me. And in better news, they reallyreallyreally want to hire me when I graduate! (But of course, I'm not counting my chickens before they hatch, and I'm looking into some options with NASA as well.)

Other than that, my boyfriend is leaving for vacation today. But I will be spending some time with the girls helping them fix up the house, because there's still some things we need to do. We were supposed to drywall the exterior garage so we could use it for storage, but I'm worrying that we won't have enough time to do it before we have to start preparing for Rush! I'd also like to see if the girls would like to plant some flowers. We're repairing the screens from a "visiting pet" we had stay there for a few days, and probably doing some painting. It should keep me busy, and I like fixing up places anyway.

And then I get to go home to Chicago for a week, and then I come back and it's 3 weeks of soccer practice, and I think my psycho soccer coach is going to try and make sure that I can't participate in Rush preparation. Basically I'm taking preseason to even decide if I want to stay on the team. If I do stay on the team though, I won't be able to attend Pref because that's the night of our first game. I'm bummed because I usually Pref a girl because I'm a strong rusher, but even more so, this will be my first Pref NOT singing. That's what hurts the most.

My summer's been pretty good. I'm working (which is always a plus) and I got back Sunday from my vacation to Pensacola Beach, where we saw the Blue Angels!! It was so amazing, especially when they are flying right by your balcony window and over the building and doing flips and stuff. It was so awesome!! We were on the 14th floor of a 17-story building and it was the only tall building for miles on the beach, so they used it as a marker. When I get my pictures developed (and learn how to post pictures) I'll post some. Other than that, my aunt is in town right now and it's good to have family around. I still can't wait to get back to school though and see everyone! I miss all my sisters so much!

My summer has been pretty good, I went to San Diego for my cousin's engagement and I am going back for the wedding in Aug. I just got back from Cabo this week, it was so FUN!! And I have been hanging out with friends. But, I got my hrs. cut from my work from 40 to 16 and I lost my benefits so i can't pull my last 2 wisdom teeth Good thing I found a new job at another bank but it's a few towns over, if anyone knows about the Bay Area, I live and work in Hayward, but now my new job is in San Ramon. But, I am REALLY excited!!!
I am also busy with RUSH this summer, I am the Panhell RUSH chair, and I am having a good time with it b/c I have friends in the other sorority on campus and the recruitment counselors are fun to work with!!!
Hmmmm..... I love the Oakland A's so I have been to lots of games, it's crazy there... some people who go to those games are like Raider fans, and the die hard Raider fans are crazy, seriously!!!
And...I am in summer school, so I get to graduate in Spring '04 woo hoo go me! And i am getting ready to take the LSAT this fall sometime (scary).
Some up's and down's but overall this summer is great!!!
P.S. everyone should go and see Priates of the Carribean!
