Can I Vent?
AHHH! Can someone just knock me in the head if I ever decide to have any more roommates? How has everyone dealt with a roommate that has stolen stuff that were very obvious from them? Did it not just burn you up?

So sorry sweetie!!!!
That stinks!! I can say that the only roomate I have had (except for the brief unbearable pleasure at **College) was with my brother. SO, I don't know what you are going through. All I know is that I would be furious! When I am SC though, let me at her and I will tell her that she better not mess with my sister's things! OR SHE WILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH ME!!! (AND it won't be pretty!)

I had a total klepto roommate summer between my soph and junior years. She would deny she took stuff from my other roommate and I, then one day when she was at work, we went in her room and found our clothes, still on hangers, stuffed in her drawers. My blow dryer was in a drawer, my friend's bras were in a drawer. She didn't even wear the same size as either of us, it was crazy.
Never spoke to her again once i moved out.

And last night, I noticed MY trashbags were gone. Unfortunately, neither my other roommate and I can go through her stuff in her room because the bedrooms lock. Each roommate has a key that fits the door to enter the apartment and her individual room. So, so far the stuff of mine that's MIA is toilet paper, a dozen Coca-Colas and trashbags. Stuff of my other roommate's that's MIA is several yogurts and bottles of water.

I feel your pain
I used to have a roommate (not a Zeta) that was the same way and her boyfriend was even worse. They would drink all my Cokes, eat all my food and take my toothpaste and shampoo when they were out. We sat down to talk about it and she was very hurt that I wouldn't share my things with her and offered to let me take food or whatever of hers. What was so frustrating was that she was so busy taking my things that she never bought any of her own!
I can laugh about it now, over a decade later, but it got even worse after that. She and her boyfriend continued to raid my groceries, even after I stored the non-refrigerated items in my room and locking it! They broke my blender, the boyfriend started selling pot out of our apartment and then he killed my hamster by blowing smoke in the cage. This guy scared me. He was into working out and possibly on steroids. He would get really mad at me because I wouldn't smoke pot or invite Zetas or other friends over. He knew that I had a lot of friends and wanted to sell to them without having to leave our apartment. I was terrified that I'd get a bad reputation and/or arrested.
I stayed with friends until I could get a place of my own. She never understood what the big deal was and thought I was just selfish. Get yourself out of there as fast as possible and hope you can laugh about it later. Good luck!
