New Violence in Israel
What do you make of this? I pisses me off. As far as I'm concerned they're all hypocrits. Agree to work towards peace and less than a week later order attack, then those guys kill 16 by blowing up a bus. Road map to peace needs to stop at a gas station.

Ah the simple interpretation......
Now you have to understand that the peace process is supported by the majority of civilians.... the extremists and fundamentalists do not (on either side). The problem is that the politcal administration of both sides contains these elements. Now their power comes from the violence and terror.... remove it and they have no power. There is giong to be more violence before their is peace... an example of this is Northern Ireland.

Yeah it really does suck. The legitimate Palestinian government has every intention of bringing about peace. In general most Palestinians want it too. I think the a majority on both sides of the argument (Israelis and Palestinians) want nothing more than to just get along and not lose any more loved ones to this horror. What's hurting now is that Hamas (which of course has no legitimate authority) is going around being the troublemaker and in turn kicking themselves in the ass in the worst way. Let's all hope that both sides can work together to bring down Hamas so that at least the peace process can work smoothly and quickly.

The violence will stop when Arafat and Hamas are removed. When they are gone, peace is possible. The Palestenians MUST stop the violence within their lands. When that happens, they will get what they want.

Coop for a Canadaian, But A LXA, You are very Astute for a Young Man!
Also very RIGHT ON!!!
But to put it in plain Language:
The People would like this, The Poloticions with any sense know this, but the Ignorant do not and will not have it!!
If there is to be peace between Isrieal and Palistine, then the respective Governments must go through Their own People and Capture, Prosecute, or Kill those who oppose this Peace, then so be it!
If not, this will go on as long as we are alive or dead and Buried!
Peace and Love!!!
Blow their Asses off if they try to kill any of us!

My friend is studying in Israel, just got there a few days ago. I can barely watch the news because I am so freaked out for her and any communication we have had ends in "Stay Safe". I will feel a lot better when she gets back in six weeks.

This has been going on since the country of Irsreal was formed after WW II.
There will never be peace in Israel even I know that.
I just wear my Mogan David proudly and pray for them daily.

Arafat shouldn't be removed. Him and Rabin were really close to peace but then Israel killed their own prime minister and now look. Stupid assholes who shot the Hamas guy should go away too.

What makes this so difficult is that there are people on both sides (both a minority) who engage in violent acts and then cite religion in connection with these acts. I mourned when Yitzak Rabin was assassinated. We were so close to an agreement! I do agree that the Palestinians need to seriously crack down on Hamas and any other organization, because ultimately they're the ones suffering for the actions of Hamas. Likewise the Israelis should focus more on eliminating terrorists and less on punishing the every day people. I honestly don't understand why it is necessary to separate the two peoples.

I couldn't agree more. All we're getting from Arafat are empty promises that are good PR because they make him sound good and sympathetic. He may denounce terrorist attacks but as the Palestinian authority, he does nothing to stop them. This basically gives the terrorists to go about as they were. Until he does something to enforce his authority, the Middle East will not see peace.
