Question RBC Anyone???

Just wanted to know if anyone was going to Recruitment Boot Camp in Texas in June.

I'm going for my chapter, and I'm soooo excited about it.

Yeah, ok, so I sound like a dork...but I really am excited, for 2 reasons.

1- To meet more Tri Delts...I just think it'll be awesome to see people from different chapters and see how we are all different, but how we are all sisters. (This is a big concept who was in a local-the only sisters you had were the ones on your campus)

2- To go to TEXAS!!!! I had to do a report on Texas in 5th grade, and ever since then, I've wanted to go. I've been up and down the east coast millions of times, but I've never been off the Eastern Seaboard.

Yeah, I'm a big fat dork...oh well

Don't feel like a dork! I went to the Leadership Cafe at Convention 2000 and had an awesome time! I got to meet Tri Delts from all over - from California to Alabama to Toronto. If I was still a collegiate I'd go to RBC.

PS - Are you from Stocton? If so, I was at your initiation!

I wish I was going . . . unfortunately I'm not.

Have an awesome time, though! Texas is tons of fun.

They actaully are!! Two of them were in my small discussion group. One of the girls is from texas, but goes to school in toronto- talk about your climate change.
I also think there was a sister from wisconson in my small group...isn't sugar and spice from wisconson? I'll have to go back and read the threads. or maybe its a different chapter. have to look into this.
our small group was a diverse group. we had two of the oldest chapters (alpha and mu) and then the two youngest (ME- gamma omega, and epsilon alpha- florida gulf coast unv, whose group was pledged but not initated yet)
I must say, I enjoyed every packed minute of it!!! I also learned many things that would help out my chapter- mostly during informal. We barely skimmed over formal recruitment (something i'm going to need ALOT of help with ladies. Not only will it be my first time doing formal, but it will be the chapters as well. AND on top of it, I'm Panhel Recruitment Chair AND i have to teach 50 girls who have no idea anything about formal-not that i know much more this is going to be a HUGE job).
I loved dinner. We had formal sit down dinners, and sang the Tri Delta grace song- which i love; i think it is beautiful. i love it almost as alpha theta phi, which of course, i am partial to. everyone was just amazing, and we all bought so many different ideas and practices (and chants) that made the whole experience awesome.
it blew my mind when i met my roommate-from beta chapter, and the sister in my group from alpha chapter. excuse the newbie- but it still leaves me in awe when i hear about chapters in operation for over 100 years.
If anyone is interested, PM me and when i eventually get around to typing up all my notes, I can email you a copy as well. I think its a very good program, and there are many ways to implement positive recruitment to get quality and quantity new members.

DL,
CARA

Hi Cara,

Glad to hear that you had a great time at RBC. Let me know if you need any help with recruitment, I'm the recruitment advisor for the Adelphi chapter. Let me know what you have questions about and I'll be happy to help!

Colleen

Yup, I'm from the University of Wisconsin! Do you remember the name of the girl from my chapter who was in your group? I wish I could remember who from our chapter was going to RBC.

I'm glad you had so much fun!

The sister in my small group from Wisconson was named Tresa. I can't remember her last name.
