Sisterlink

I am curious if any of you have taken advantage of the sisterlink program. I am currently attending the UofMN (GPHIB Kappa) and hoping to graduate in a little over a year. I am going to be looking into getting an internship in the nutrition field, and I was told to look into sisterlink. Does anyone know how this program works???

i just used sisterlink- it was somewhat helpful. it would probably be more so for you because not many sisters are signed up for it here in canada. even so, i had a list of 5 names. there used to be form you could download from the website but i don't think they have them linked up yet to the new site. try calling HQ and they'll send you a form in the mail. every little bit helps!!

Unfortunately, the number of members signed up on it, compared to the total number of members we have is small. I have known people to use it successfully when they're moving to another city. If you complete the form and email it to IH, you should get an answer pretty quickly.

Now, the new SisterLink Chair is doing a lot to get more women to sign up on it. If you have questions she would be your best resource. I'll pm you with her name and email.

The new website is supposed to get an expanded, more user friendly sisterlink section -- the chair would be happy to hear some suggestions as to how it can be more usefull -- I do know there will no longer be any cost to it...

FYI -- the new directory that came out also lists members -- all of them for the most part -- by their career fields...
