Would you do it?
I'm a big ((closet--shhhhh don't tell no body!)) fan of The Real World. I also watch Road Rules, any reunion shows, etc. I watched the Suvivior Show on CBS on Wednesday night (Which BTW, has a member of Delta Sigma Theta in the cast...Romona the Chemist). My question to you all is this...
Would you go on a show like the aboved mentioned? Why or why not?
I'll give my answer later!

I have also watched those shows, especially The Real World. The first group (New York) was the best! I stopped watching, rather I did not have time to keep up with the show after our Soror, Khamillah (sp?)was on (Boston crew). No, I do not think that I would do a show like those mentioned. However, I do remember in college, there were advertisements in our dorm about the Real World audtions, but I do not think I would want to take part.

I guess we are all in agreement. As I watch these shows, I always wonder "Why in the HECK would anyone want to have their lives on Front Street like that?" I KNOW I could not do it. As for Survivor, I found the show rather disgusting and sadistic. Eating rats?!?! Talk about the world's best diet!! And I felt soooo sorry for the little old lady that got booted off the show! Didn't she look pitiful?? And then when they stuffed her 'light' out....

Hi Eclipse, first I would like to say I love the above mentioned shows also. I get a kick out of watching these people deal with each other on TV. I mean we can see this sort of stuff everyday but something changes when you get on TV.
Now about appearing on a show like that, I would like to think that I have nothing to hide and so I would not mind. What gets me upset is how I know the producers cut out bits an pieces; they can make you look like Beauty or THE BEAST. I don't think that is fair but it sells. Also I am very personal
and like to keep to myself, if someone tried to get too far in my business I 'Might Lose My mind'
They probably would not cast me anyway, because I like to sit in my room and listen to music or read a book - oh well!

I watched the Real World the first couple of years it was on the air, but lost track of which city they were in. I did catch a few episodes this past season and saw parts of the latest reunion show a couple of weeks ago.
Even though it might be a lot of fun, I don't think I could participate in a show like that. I would probably lose my mind and people would work my last nerves! I keep to myself a lot and value my time alone. I wouldn't want a camera on me all the time. I wouldn't even want to do it for money as is the case with Survivors. But it is fun to watch.
Speaking of these reality based shows, has anyone seen Making the Band on ABC on Friday nights? It chronicles the journey of eight young men selected from I forget how many. Then, it is broken to the final five. I saw the very first episode when the first eight were chosen. I saw a recap last Friday and tonight I think the final five will be chosen. It is really interesting and very something like the Real World.

Hello ladies. I am an avid fan of The Real World. About a year ago auditions were held across the tracks at Florida State. I have to admit that, yes, I did audition. The line was 5 hours long. That is not a typo, 5 hours long, and it was group interviews! The line was wrapped around the building. It was an incredible experience.
I would love to be on a show of that nature. Instant fame....I'd eat it up. It would be a great opportunity for someone who is trying to break into showbiz. I'd definitely do it, I'm thinking about auditioning again.

Greetings!
I have always been a Fan of Real World(RW) and Road Rules (RR). The Alpha family has been represented in both of them and they did a great job. Kameelah (RW-Boston) and Kefla (RR-Australia).
I have always wanted to do RW, but due to age restrictions, I could have only done it years ago(either NY or the 2 Calif. shows)
I even checked out the Survivor show... that was wild! Yes, Ms. Sonja tried..she really did and got the boot.
I am outtie. Chat with you all soon!
SKEE-YA!
