Alright, I admit - - I have done telemarketing - twice! I don't mind the occasional charity call or 'Switch to MCI' call or what not - - occasionally - - but this is getting CRAZY. The same person/place/business has called here multiple times a day, EVERY week day of the week, for the last 2 months or so - - AT LEAST...

Does that ring a bell to ANYBODY??? They won't say who they are or what they want b/c it's a 'private' call, but no matter how many times I tell them SHE WORKS UNTIL 6, they won't stop calling for my dad's GF... What's the deal?? Anyone know who these people are??

When I first saw UOP - Online, I thought it was probably something related to University of Phoenix's online programs. My initial inclination was confirmed when I searched for area code 602 and came up with Phoenix.

I think, Cluey, that you are right. I saw her checking her mail and I saw something about taking classes....Would only make sense that it would be what you were saying. But still, eery time they'd call either someone wouldn't answer or someone would tell them the times that she's here. So finally when I told them that she wouldn't be home until such and such a time, they quit calling and emailed her. Finally!!!!! Hallelujah!

I kept getting phone calls from Jehovah's Witnesses. I had to ask them not to call on Easter Sunday since they called me three times that day.

DigitalAngel, I had Phoenix online school calling me for a while. I filled out a from on the internet, and they called me a couple of days later. I spoke with someone from the school, but it wasn't for me. I told her that, and she stopped calling.

I just wanted to tell you that telemarketers are required by law to take you off their lists if you ask them to.

If you explicitly say "Please take me off your Call list" they can never, ever call you again.

Sorry, another board crasher...but I know what you mean about annoying phone calls.

Our phone rings non stop in my house, and it's never people you want to talk to. Since we have caller ID we don't answer the phone of we don't know who the caller is. Sometimes numbers are blocked or don't show up, but most normal people leave a message. If it turns up it's someone we know we call them back, or ignore them if it's nobody.

Anyway, my story is there is a number that continually calls. We don't know who it is, so we ignore it. The never leave a message. Well this person will call 5 times a day. So I was getting angry at this person, so if I saw the number I was just pick up the phone and hang up. They would call back again a couple hours later. So I did the same thing. Well one day I got fed up with this person calling all the time and when they called again I picked up the phone and didn't say anything. It was a woman on the other end and I hear her go hello, hello, hello. Then I hung up. She hasn't called back since.

I know it was immature, but it made me feel better. If you need to speak to someone leave a message. Otherwise don't call here selling you wares because we're not interested.

It also made me wonder if my dad was having an affair

Update: I don't live with my dad any more (duh, see Apartment Thread), but I do check the caller ID over there when I visit b/c I do still get calls occasionally....They DID get in touch with her online AND on the phone...I don't understand why the hell they gotta call so often!!

Hahahhaa, I don't even live there any more and it still annoys me. Oh well.
