Phi sightings

I think it's so cool when I run into my own letters. Two days ago I was driving home from work on I-95 and a VW Beetle goes by and I see that she's in a sorority, but I can't make out which one because of the glare.

As I got closer, I saw she was an Alpha Phi from University of Delaware! I passed her and went to say hi, but she exited right then.

Well, don't forget the "honk" next time!

Speaking of.... (okay, who remembers that as a conversation tool?)
There's reportedly a, well shall we say "much more seasoned" alumna in the Sacramento area, who drives around town in her cadillac prouldy displaying her A-Phi license plate frame. She never hesitates to send out the honk to anyone else she runs across with the same.

How cool is that?!

I was afraid to honk because it was rush hour, and I didn't want to cause an accident.

OOOhhhh...I LOVE the honk! We were going crazy with it driving back from Inititation one year. I felt sorry for the other drivers because they must have been so confused!

My favorite story was when I was driving to Inititation and an older woman (about 60 years old) in the passenger seat of a car motioned for me to roll down my window. When I did, she screamed, "Delta Pi Chapter, Indiana State!" Her husband was shaking her head smiling like she did this all the time. She was so cute! I guess she saw my Alpha Phi license plate frame and sticker.

Awww.. that's cute!

People just don't honk in Florida for some crazy reason. Now, Chicago, where I'm from, they like to use it all the time!

Ok, I have 2 one of which is my mom's.
I'll tell her's first: she was borrowing my car to go to the store and I have the Alpha Phi around my plates. As she was walking into the store this cute old lady came up to her and asked her if she was an Alpha Phi and my mother said no, but that I (her daughter) am one. The lady told her to tell me that she said hi and AOE, alsi that she was from a chapter back east.

Now mine
I was shopping (wearing my letters) and this girl (about my age 20) came and tapped my shoulder. So mind you all it was a sale so I was ALL over the store having my boyfriend carry what could have been truck loads of clothes. Anyways, I turned around and she asked which chaper I was from, I didn't know that she was an Aplha Phi, so I was thinking "what is she talking about?" I told her and she told me that she was an Alpha Phi from So Cal visiting home. We talked for a few min about stuff and how good the sale was It was fun, and I still run into her every once in a while at the same store.

Good thinking....it would terrible to "run into" a sorority sister LITERALLY (and expensive too).

I think i almost caused a fender bender

I was driving thru a parking lot one day searching aimlessly for a parking place and i saw this car withthose white stencil decals on the back window with letters on it. Mind you this was in a Jr college parking lot and i slam on my breaks and stop... my 3 yr old yells at the top of his lungs "MOMMMMMMA don't do that!"needless to say i never saw her but i did see her drive around town once in a while.

Saw a car with our letters on it at the Dave Matthews Concert in Charlotte NC

One of the coolest people I have ever met is an Alpha Phi at Washington U. We worked and lived together last summer in the mountains of NC and still keep in touch and discuss Alpha Phi cool stuff.
