The Dead Zone
Anyone watch the Dead Zone? I’m so excited they decided to issue an extension of the second season of the Dead Zone this summer. I missed the first season but am planning to catch it on DVD this month. I thought last season was phenomenal.

seriously? That's awesome! I really like the show and am totally planning on Netflixing the first season when it comes out. Or is it out already? I need to check.
Anyway, this bonus season thing is great. How many episodes do we get?

no no, its the show on USA with Anthony Michael Hall (though you'd never recongize him). It's based off a Stephen King novel about this kid who gets into an accident and wakes up with pscyhic abilities. He can see what's going to happen to people after he touches them. It's really interesting.
And sheesh, between Anthony Michael Hall on The Dead Zone and Andrew McCarthy's guest star on Monk, USA is basically supporting all of my favorite 80s actors.

Love Dead Zone.
What's your favorite ep?
I have to say the pilot was my favorite-where he tells the doctor about his aunt still being alive in Vietnam after his dad thought he saw her blow up, and the end where he goes back and finds her...I seriously got chills.
And then the one that came pretty much straight from the book (the serial killer one) was great.
And, since I'm from the Sixteen Candles generation, I love that MAH has found a regular gig that doesn't play off of his Farmer Ted persona. Wonder how many more brat packers will be making appearances (a la Ally Sheedy this past season).
I don't think I like his sidekick w/o the dreds though...

Their website actually posts their scripts. Excellent examples of the Hollywood scriptwriting format according to my Radio/TV scriptwriting prof.

I really feel for Sarah in The Dead Zone. Married to a man that she loves, but has a troubled marriage with, while seriously in love with Johnny. Breaks my heart! I hope this summer season gives us more insight into Sarah’s marriage.
Ps: I think its something like 7 new episodes So excited I think I might burst.

7 eps? Good stuff. And I didn't know they postd their scripts online either. Do they post scripts before the show has aired? Hmm...
anyway, I'm totally counting down for the 6th. It'll be a nice way to cap off a holiday weekend.

Season permiere teaser
I just watched the teaser to the season permiere on the USA website! It looks soo good. It's gonna be called "The Storm" and from the preview I've got to see what happens. They flash a bunch a shots of a town full of people getting out of the way of the storm and they show the "storm" itself and then at the end a body washes up on shore!

For the most part I enjoyed Johnny yelling at the storm (he finally realizes he's stuck with this "gift" ,the whole falling fish thing was hilarious, and Dana and Sarah's convo about Johnny (feelings run too deep...etc.) is finally in the open!
I'm looking forward to many more episodes...no way in hell USA is gonna cancle this show!!

I watched part of the season premiere, but it was Friday night and I had to get out and party (all work and no play = will never happen here)
Anyways from what I saw it was a pretty good episode. But personally Im looking forward to watching the episode that comes on tonight...i think it's Mr. Monk and the ball game.

Caught a rerun
My favorite parts were when Monk took on the roll of the ump, and couldn't decide what the pitch was (if he said strike one team cheered, if he said ball the other team cheered...lol), then there was the poor kid who fell right on his a$$ when he was walking across homeplate (maybe it's just me but if someone falls I can't help myself...I just have to laugh), and my most fave of favorites is when Monk called himself cleaning the basketball..."Well maybe he can sign it again" I would have killed him!! But looking at it from the other side..it was pretty funny.
