You are so right: African and African-American people do not always show love to each other...

it is really too bad because we have so much to learn from each other's cultures and histories. What I really wanted to hear about was the opinion of an African woman about the experience of being in a sorority. In all of the BGLO sororities web pages I have read, I remember seeing that there were chapters in West Africa and abroad so I guess the natural question for me was to find out if they were any African members in AKA. Also, it is only when I came in this country that I heard about sororities. The closest thing that would resemble to it would be "initiation" of women or men as they come to adulthood. But "initiation" is really a thing of the past.
