Are You Straight??? Or Are You Curly???

The thread about thermalreconditioning got me to thinking how we women are rarely happy with our hair! Let me ask you...

Do you have straight hair?
or
Do you have curly hair?

Are you happy with what you have? or would you change if you could?

I personally have dark, stick straight hair, cut into a just-below-the-chin bob. I like my hair (color, texture) but I wish it were a td longer. And there are days I wish I could just have a headful of glorious curls like Minnie Driver or Nicole Kidman!

Right now my hair is long and wavy and auburn. When I get a haircut this week, it will be very curly. It is sort of like Julia Roberts' hair in Pretty Woman.

When I was a young girl, I hated having red hair. It was bright red back then. It was so different from everyone else. I have liked my hair since I accepted the color and texture.

My sister has hair like Minnie Driver or Nancy Kerrigan. It is very curly.

i have the longest hair i have ever had right now (lil past the ol' bra strap).....and, for the moment, it is kinda black. i've been auburn, bleach (yes, i said bleach....everyone put their eyes back in, it happens to the best of us) blonde, highlights, red, brunette....black was the only "natural" color i hadn't been yet, so that's why it is what it is right now. i think it's kinda cool since my eye color is such a pale blue. cat woman! yeow!

my hair is straight, but it will get kinda kinky (no comments ) if i don't blow it dry. not too thick, not too thin......i think i like my hair. yay! if i want it curly, i bust out some gel and a diffuser, but that doesn't happen often. most of the time i just bust out some curlers.

I have straight thick hair that is layered and mid back length. It is black with gold and copper highlights.

My hair is weird for "Asian hair", it holds curls easily.

I have a love/hate relationship with my hair. Some days I'm like damn, I love you! Next day, I'm like, F*CKKKKK!

Naturally I have like the Curly Sue type of hair. However, I usually wear it straight, it's more cute curlier, but it is sooooo hard to manage.

I have shoulder-length, dark, thin, wavy/curly hair. It gets on my nerves! If my hair could be thicker, I'd be happy.

I have straight hair, and it's thick but very fine. I'm growing it out right now and it's okay. Back in the day, I used to get perms *yeeeeek!!* but I would NEVER do that again. I'm generally happy with my hair the way it is, but I wish it could look cute without blowdrying it.

curls all the way baby!! Natural, and love them, thanks to the stars who stopped blowing out curls for that stick straight look.

i'm now back to my natural haircolor which is a rich medium shade of brown. i've naturally had red hair (at birth), black hair (preschoolish), and blonde hair (around 6th grade) and when my hair finally decided to remain one color for the rest of my life i started dyeing it. It's had red, green, blue, pink, and purple streaks and some point or another, and i've dyed it completely red and completely blonde (that one was for 3 years ) Otherwise my hair is thick but fine, usually bone straight but it can get a little frizzy, and it's been short for so long that it likes to curl itself under or out at whim, although i've grown my hair almost to my shoulders now and it kinda looks funny.

Stick straight, dark, dark brown hair with some lighter brown highlights. It's cut in a very layered bob that's just about chin-length, though in about 24 hours it'll be a few inches shorter

I've had short hair since my sophomore year of high school, when I quit doing the "big" hair. It's much more flattering to my round face. Plus, my hair is WAY too thick to deal with long!

i have curly black hair. i seriously dont mind it, but i wish it could be straight. but due to the kind of hair i have, i have to go through a lot of crap due get it to survive straight. when i was 14, i went straight, but then my hair started to break off really bad to where i had to get almost all of it cut off. i thought i looked awful. then i went back to curly and my hair grew back. but in the last few years, my hair has started to thin out due to stress. so now i dont know what to do.

(as already stated in the TR thread..) my hair is naturally curly, but i wear it straight every day...length is just below my chin, really texturized, but not layered..natural color is a medium brown, but i have blonde, caramel, and slightly darker brown highlights.

I used to have auburn curls, but I dyed them a lot. Now they're a dark brown/black sort of colour, though the roots are coming in golden brown for no apparent reason. My hair's in long layers to my shoulders, and it's kinda wavey now with the humidity. I usually pull it back anyway. I think I'm going to dye it back to red when term's over. I just wish it would straighten easily.

My hair and I dont get along most of the time. Sometimes when its in a good mood I'll get compliments on how its so pretty straight with the ends curled- which it does on its own!

My hair is like naturally wavy. Towards my roots, its straight and then as you get to my ends, it starts to curl.

Normally I blow dry it straight, and rarely Ill put mousse in it and it curls.

Right now its past my shoulders, I guess by my bra strap. I want it a little longer so I can wear it curly more often. Thing is, when I wear it curly, the curls bounce up all the way to above my shoulders, so I dont like that. I have a round face, so anything above my shoulders makes me feel like I have an even bigger face.

My mom wants me to cut my hair short, but wouldnt that make my round face, and cheeks look HUGE?

My hair is naturally dark blonde and straight.

When I was little, I wanted curly hair (this was back in the 80's when perms were in). My mom and my sister had curly hair and I was so jealous. As I got older, I realized how hard it is to maintain curly hair. I am now thankful that I can shower and let my hair dry naturally without worry that it will get frizzy. But, my hair is very thin and it won't hold any curls from the hot curling irons. When I had my hair done for prom, it took my stylist 2 1/2 hours and about a ton of pomade (sp?) to get my hair to stay up. It stayed for maybe half of prom before falling out.
