Thumbs down Fog Driving In!

My God, the stupidity of the American People!

100 car pile up!

Why, because the cars driven by nutsoids of America drive no mater what and where!

Interstae in Maryland where there was a huge FOG Bank people were driving like sunny and 70!

Looked like a Junk yard in in ones Hometown.

What would you do when driving in FOG!????

Exclamation Actually there's an explanation for that!

There have been studies about why these multi car pile ups happen in the fog so much.

Part of it is that when the fog is so thick your eyes are glued to the road. You don't dare take your eyes off the road long enough to look at your spedometer. Combine that with not being able to see other objects; such as trees, signs, etc; and you can't judge how fast your going. Next thing you know your speeding then BAMN there's a car in front of you that was not going quite as fast.

I live in an area that gets an awful lot of fog from october/november to march and I'd have to say the majority of the people try and avoid driving when it's foggy. When I have to drive in the fog I usually will stay away from highways and freeways and stick to roads with lots of four way stops. I drive with the windows down and the radio off so i can hear the cars coming. As for headlights low beams only, high beams make it worse. Also I try to maintain a constant speed, all too often people panic and slow down to a crawl, that's the best way to get rear-ended.

I'm also from a city where it's foggy most of the time, so I've gotten used to driving in it- but there are many people who aren't extra careful, and just aren't used to it... it's just sad when accidents like that happen Hope everyone drives carefully
