compulsive about how your day goes?
now call me weird, but when i drive somewhere, the place that i park determines the day i am going to have. i know i know.
last semester, i had to have the parking space the was in front of my last class or i would be mad all day. also when i park in the parking garage at school, i have to park in the last space on the row so i can get close to the wall. the spaces in the garage are too damn small. its stupid i know, but you cant trust college students all the time. people like to absent mindedly swing open their doors not caring about the damage it can cause.
at work, there is one perfect space that i am always able to get. its against the curb so i can be far away from the person next to me. today i went to work, someone was there
so i had to make myself park between two cars. so i felt like nothing wanted to go my way. but on the upside of things, when i came home ( i am in an apartment), i got my favorite space, it is isolated between a garage and a curb. so i felt better.
i am compulsive about many things. this is only one of them.
is there anyone else that has to have ONE particular thing happen for your day to go well?

kindof basically I determine how my day is going to be by saying if such and such occurs then this will happen. Example: on the Bachelor if I wanted him to dump Jen and he didn't then my night would be bad. Or if I am getting close to a stoplight and it is green I tell myself if I make this light then my day will go well, but if it turns red before I get to it then my day will be bad.
I'm such a weirdo

I have to wake up at a time that ends in the number three (ie 1:13, 1:23, 1:33, etc.) or else I have a HORRIBLE day. I have OCD though so this is just one of my many rituals that I go through every day. My roommates think it's sooooo funny to try and change my alarm clock, and that bugs me!

LOL smiley, I used to know this girl who would ALWAYS back in to her parking space. My dad joked that the reason why she does it is because she starts so much crap w/ people, she'll never know when she'll have to take off immediatley.
I check to see if the iron is unplugged, tv shows are programmed to record on the vcr, and the stove is off several times each morning. Sometimes I even turn around in my car when I'm a few blocks away from my place and go back to check. I have mild OCD too and is exacerbated by caffiene and certain types of meds like decongestants. Otherwise it is pretty unnoticeable, this is the only way it affects me...currently.

For some odd reason, I have to get off my bed on the right side (as opposed to the left side). If I don't, my day doesn't seem to go as well as it could. I also have to write everything I do during the day down in my day planner so I can check it off. One of my friends swears I am OCD, but I think I am just anal retentive about certain things. Oh, and up until pretty recently, I had to write in black ink only. But I am introducing blue pens into my collection.

OMG, I thought I was the only one who thought this...LMAO I have actually moved my room around, just so it can accomodate my neurotic behavior...lol.
I also have to have the TV on to sleep, or I wont be able to sleep or get up in the morning. I dont even watch that thing rarely, but I need it when I go to sleep....I know, weird.
I have to listen to my Toad the Wet Sproket CD atleast once a day..cause I am weird like that. It sorta calms my crazy a$$ down.

dont even get me started on the tv, stoves, iron, or anything else. i talked about that in great detail in another thread.
but about the parking spaces. sometimes i have to back in, cause i hate backing out. especially at school, there is so many people walking everywhere.
one time when i parked in the garage at school, i couldnt find a good one. so i was getting pissed and about to cry right there in the car. then it happened: someone was backing out of one of the best spaces. it was like the angels were singing. so i left my crappy space from hell and got in the beautiful space. it felt great. i got out of the car feeling awesome like i could kick anybody's a$$. ha ha
