SPE - 239, 18, 5531, 13,907, 54, $425
Sigma Chi - 215, 6, 3418, 11,450, 50, $420
SAE - 208, 6, 3,000, 9200, 43, $545
PiKA - 208, 5, 4378, 10779, 51, $389

Intresting..... we have the highest average membership cost... hmmm. Yet IHQ keeps telling us that they are cash-strapped, and expects us to pck-up more and more of the tab when it comes to GA and regionals. Paying transit, hotel, and registration worked out to be roughly $3000 CDN to send two guys to regionals.... so we didn't go.
Once again I would like to point out that they could save a shit-load of cash by doing a conference up here in Canada (London or Toronto). Favourable exchange rate, with the same hotel chains that they are trying to build a "working-relationship" with.... damn if they like the Renaissance hotels so much come to Toronto.... the Renaissance here is the Skydome! Seriously London would probably be the best choice... active Greek community, small city always looking for summer revenue (after all the students leave), and cheap hotels (most expensive is around $300 US a night for a 41/2 star).

The 4 year cost that is depicted above does not, I am sure, include liability insurance. Lambda Chi Alpha has one of the lowest insurance rates around. When you add in that, our numbers will look much better.

Go North (Blame Canada!)
Many years ago - long before I became a brother in '76 - the General Fraternity held a General Assembly in the Bahamas; apparently there was a problem with donated fraternity money crossing the border and we had to spend some dollars in the British Commonwealth.
A meeting in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, or Vancouver would be a great idea and a way to demonstrate to all that we are an international fraternity. I have a hunch that attendance would be good and I am POSITIVE that the folks in Canada would make sure that we all had a good time. All of these cities have convention facilities and can handle 800-1,000 people.
If we still have the problem with Foundation dollars crossing the border, then a General Assembly in Canada would be a super idea.
I'd go in a heartbeat.
BLAME CANADA!
