Leadership 2003-The Aftermath
I attempted to post in the Leadership thread, but it's locked. I had so much fun at Leadership. I left Las Vegas with a few memorable moments:
* Having my picture taken with Sorors White, McKinzie, and Shy-Scott (my fellow Spelman sister)--to Soror Kodaka, "WE WON!!!"
*Hanging out with my best friend for the first time as sorors
* Meeting a group of wonderful sorors from Greekchat (I already volunteered Soror PearlEssence's house for the next gathering during Boule)
*Strolling with sorors during the Banquet
* Painting the town pink and green with over 2,000 of my beautiful sorors!
Skee-Wee, my Sorors, Skee Wee
Skeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee- Wee!

Wow. What a conference.
Soror abaici's list picks up on some of my most memorable moments. It's amazing, the power of 3,000-plus women of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.
I was sooo happy to meeting the GC Sorors at PF Chang's on the Strip in the sizzling hot sun,. Everyone is wonderful, such as Soror AKA2D'91, one of the fearless leaders of the GC chapter. and Soror WenD08, preppie in Lilly Pulitzer.
And we are going to have GC Gathering at Boule. Hopefully, more GC Sorors, as well as those of us who met on Friday, can join in on the fun.

I had a good time at Leadership. I was happy to see old friends and make new ones as well.
I didn't get an invite to the GC Sorors get together, so I didn't get to meet any Sorors from GC, oh well...
I can't wait until 04 for Boule!

LV was a blast
literally (the heat) and figuratively i always like to put names to faces and i'm looking forward to seeing you all next year in Nashville. i even met some nice sorors from TMQ/LA (just in case one of them happens by here), one of whom was from KY, not to far from my town. i finally know how to say abaici, i got to introduce myself to folks i talk to all the time, and i met Soror Steeltrap, a soror who may just shop me under the table i missed Soror AKA4MJ, whom i met before she became a soror, oh well, maybe next time.

I also missed Soror AKA4MJ, and every time I saw her GA, I'd ask where she was.
And Soror, there is an Off Fifth in Nashville. My (non-Greek) biological sister found some Gucci shoes there for a decent price recently.

Talking about me????? Sorors, I sincerely apologize. I had plans to get my hair done, but my best friend was having car problems coming through that hot AZZ desert and her car ran hot. So I had to go get her. So during the gathering, I was getting my hair done in my hotel room. And my cell was having technical difficulties.
I am so sorry I didn't see you WEND08, unless you cut your hair off, and I am kinda sure you didn't! Anywhoo, I learned alot and had a fabulous time even though it was TOO DAMN HOT!
On Sunday Soror Vita I was waiting to see you you. Mu GA said she had just saw you and you had just asked about me, but you never came. We stood there and waited.
Did anyone get the Pink and Green "The Rumours are True" t-shirt from the M&M store?

Soror AKA4MJ, i knew there was a good reason for us not to see you.
an off-5th store? you don't say. well, i may have to check it out, when i'm not in plenaries i know this is WAY far in advance but in Detroit for 2006, the Great Lakes outlet has off-5th and a Neiman Marcus Final Call side by side. our conference hosts should consider shopping excursions at the next 3 Boules sorors would love that.
perhaps we could start a shopping thread, for future reference. i'll be happy to share my tips

I closed the thread before I left.
Hopefully, by this time, everyone has returned safely to their destinations.
It was great meeting many sorors (including the GC sorors in attendance) and seeing those I had not seen in years who are now sorors.
Skeelicious, don't try to make it seem as if you were not invited. If you would have followed the instructions, you could have been in da loop. DON'T START NONE...
I'll have the photos available on line this evening.
I'm ready for Nashville and the Bahamas.

Don't make me put you over my lap missy! I didn't get one and I posted my email addy, but that's neither here nor there. Because I probably deleted it thinking it was bulk mail, old age will do that to you.

I haven't forgotten. LOL
I have to make sure I have Simon's last name. When I go through my things, I will get his last name and change my signature. I cannot take credit for something I did not come up with.
LOL
