Hello Delexia, I'm a little confussed by your post. You say that you were influenced and had positive examples of both AKA and Delta women in your life therefore you want to pledge, but you do not know anything about what they stand for or what community service they participant in. I'm sure both women are great but your real focus needs to be on why you would want to invest in two organizations that you know nothing about. I recommend some serious research on your part because you may find that neither of these organizations is for you, i suggest researching Zeta and Sigma as well both accomplished sororities. I have always wanted to pledge because I have received such strong influence and positive background from older women who are sorors. Im going to college, and Im not sure which sorority would be best fit for me. I have been influenced by both AKA's and Delta's. I don't know much about what either does for the community or what they stand for. I only know of them because I know people who are sorors. I uld like to have more information about AKA to help with my decision.
