What's your favorite Jimmy Buffett Song???
"A Kappa Sig bringing up Jimmy...who woulda thought?" - Unnamed GCer during AOL chat session
I'm watching History channel as the familiar and wonderful verses of Margaritaville start playing so of course I look over at the TV...it's a commercial for the new Jimmy CD collection.
I don't think I've met anyone on this board who doesn't like atleast one song by Jimmy Buffett - my question is which one is your favorite, and why???
Mine has to be Cheeseburger in Paradise since it's the first Jimmy song I remember, I loved that song so long ago...

It's like picking your favorite child...
I'd say "Come Monday" is my favorite older song, and "One Particular Harbor" is my favorite newer one.

Too many to list - I've been a parrot head since I can remember. I don't think I can pick just one. I like them all.

It's hard to pick just one. I can think of his greatest hits CD and come up with a reason why I like each of those songs. If I just had to pick a favorite, though, it would be "Come Monday."
I named my family in college the parrots because we all loved Jimmy Buffett!

I'm about as hardcore a Buffett fan as they come...so stuff like Cheeseburger and Margaritaville don't even make my top 50 list.
My favorite is probably "In the Shelter" which is a song he wrote while playing in New Orleans. Another that I love is a duet he did with James Taylor about his (Buffett's) grandfather called "False Echos"
Some other favorites: Manana, Love and Luck, Changes in Lattitudes Changes in Attitudes, Life is Just a Tire Swing...
I guess you could say I belong to the Church of Buffett, Orthodox (COBO)

I also love Come Monday!
But Cheeseburger in Paradise is a great road trip song!
You are driving down I-5 and next minute ya look down at the speedometer you are going at least 10-15 miles over the speed limit

Even though Jimmy Buffet is a Kappa Sig, the Pike chapter at Rockhurst has an annual Jimmy Buffet party, complete with grass skirts and margaritas.
On the topic, my fav Buffet is "Margaritaville". I know it's the canned answer, but it holds special significance for me.

Magaritaville...totally reminds me of Spring Break. One of my sisters said that as soon as we got to the beach we had to play it. It totally made us forget about the long drive there! Aww! Spring break...i miss the lazy days of drinking on the beach.
