So, I'm wondering
if England is being focused on so hard because she is a woman. I think gender is one of the reasons that England became the focus of the outrage. If it was a guy, most people's reaction would be, typical man stuff. However, since it is a female that also participated, it came as a shock to many people.
Ok, the question is, do you think Pfc. Lynndie England became the poster person because of her gender?

I think that gender is one of the reasons why she was used to pose in those pictures. This made it that much more demeaning to the prisoners, due to their culture. This is part of the story, and focusing on the pictures that were most demeaning to the prisoners, by the media, is not sexist. Its simply reporting the facts.

Concur. Whoever took the pictures "featured" her to a large extent, so it's no surprize that she has become the "face" for the coverage and the military.
