fashion show

hello...
i am currently working on my concept for a fall fashion show i plan on hosting with PROGRESSIVE STUDENT BLACK UNION at my school. it will be a hip-hop fashion. i hosted one at my high school but you know there were so many restrictions and rules i had to follow, now i will be a little or should i say a lot more free and i want it to be successful so that it can become an annual thing. does anyone have any ideas, themes, or entertainment ideas? anything that u could imagine at a college hip hop fashion show?
thaaanx!

The community center that I work for is giving a fashion show this month. We're going to walk to a song (forgot the name...lol) that has the word "white" (the color, not race) in it's hook. We decided to wear all white to fit with the song. Maybe you could try something like that.

Hope that helps!

Cool

I was in a modeling troupe in high school and college. I will post ideas as they come to me. I know we did this hair show in high school and we had this sequence with a mirror. There was no glass in it, and there was a person on each side, doing the same movement, like putting on makeup, combing hair etc. Then we just modeled the outfit/hairstyle down the runway. Everyone commented us on that after the show.
In my college show, for a lingerie scene they used the song "You love me" by Jill Scott. It was great! I found that the most important element of our shows, was our choice of music for the show. That is what really gets the crowd into it. For instance in high school, (hope I'm not dating myself) , for a party scene, we wore clothes you'd where to a club, we chose the song "It's Party Time" I forget who it was by, but it had a really catchy beat. If I were doing that scene today I would probably use "in Da Club" by 50 cent.

My Sorhor was in an undergrad Delta chapter fashion show last semester. I think they had about four scenes: Dressy casual, formal / wedding, greek pari, and club/hip-hop. The music was appropriate (?sp) for each scene. They also introduced each scence with a clip from a movie. Like, for greek pari they had a step show clip from Spike Lee's 'School Daze' . For formal / wedding they had a clip from "In Love and Basketball"'s wedding scene. (Please forgive me if I got the title's wrong.) Hope this helps.
