Music-Non Sorority

So I'm wondering what kinda music everyone listens to... What's your fav. type of music, who's your fav. artist/band, etc.?

I absolutely love music! I love listening to it... I love singing it... I love dancing to it... (the last two I'm not that good at!) And I love watching it-live & on MTV...

I like all kinds of music, or more appreciate all kinds of music. (I think it's because I was in band for so many years and also because of my dance classes!) But I really like "Pop", rap, R&B, and alternative.

My fav. bands are Linkin Park and SUBLIME!!! And my fav. artists (who are oh, so controversial) are Christina Aguilera, Lil Kim, and Missy Elliott.

I love "weird" types of music/artists... Or not so well liked by our generation... Like Yanni, Elton John, The Beatles, Celine Dion, the Moody Blues, and cultural music-especially Irish!

Basically, if you turn on the radio to any station, I'll know the song... And most likely know the words! Does that make me weird?

So what do you listen to???

I love music so much! I must have close to 300 CD's, not including everything I have downloaded onto my computer.

I don't really have any favorite type of music. I love alternative, rock, hip-hop, R&B, dance, classic rock, and 80's music. I too usually know the words to any song that is playing on the radio.

My favorite bands are Linkin Park (can't wait until March 25th when the new album is out), Puddle of Mudd, and Led Zepplin.
My favorite artists range from Eninem to Justin Timberlake to Paul Oakenfield. I love all types of music...with one exception-COUNTRY. I hate country music!!! It makes me wanna go stab myself with a butter knife! I just don't like the sound of it period. Enough said about that topic!

Music helps me through all my rough times and it's a great motivator at the gym!

I'm pretty open minded when it comes to music - I pretty much like anything that doesn't give me a headache (therefore no heavy heavy metal).

In looking at my CD collection it would appear that I favour Female Vocalists...which is true. I also like, i dunno what it's called - soft rock, adult contmp., whatever.
When i was a kid Phil Collins used to be my favourite singer (i still like him too) and I like Elton John too!
Now, not sure about fave band but i LOVE Bif Naked and I really like Celine, among other singers like Loreena Mckennitt, Cher, Tara Maclean, Lisa Loeb, Jewel, etc...

I've also been in a Canadian mood this last year or so and have started listening to more homegrown stuff - Spirit of the West, Chantal Kreviazuk, Tragically Hip, Barenaked Ladies, Great Big Sea and a few Quebecois singers - Jean Leloup, Les Colocs....

I must say I even don't mind country, and one can find The Dixie Chicks in my small collection

I don't listen to the radio much, since i live in a basement appt. and don't get good reception, but when i do it's usually top 40 kinda stuff...

Ah man, reading your posts made me remember some!!

I too like Justin... Especially after the whole Britney break up thing... And I definately love Eminem!!

Among my fav. types of music I forgot to put Hip-Hop and 80's... I really love hip-hop.

I don't really care for country music, but I do like the Dixie Chicks, and Shania Twain, and some Faith Hill.

Well, if I remember anymore, I'll let you know!

Not a fair question!!!!!!

But at the moment, I would have to say Rascal Flatts because they aren't balding (yet) and I'm going to get to meet them. Timmy, I'll probably never meet. But he's so damn cute. And such a good singer!

Tough choice

I love seeing that so many people are such music buffs (I was a music major in school). I absolutely love it. I have over 300 CD's (last count was 345) and I swear I still listen to them all. I always have something on. My collection is crazy too. It's such a mix. I guess because of how I was raised I'm very into classic rock. I guess I love that music from "back in the day" really made a statement, not that there aren't artists that do the same today.

They always say "Music is the soundtrack to our lives." It's so true. Whenever i hear certain songs, I can remember certain times and places. It's crazy, but all of a sudden I'll think of someone or someplace from years ago and it'll be like it (or they) was never gone.
