ok..nose piercings?

ok kids. im sure this is somewhere already on here. but to those of you have or had nose piercings....did it hurt? im sure the pain isnt too bad, but my biggest concern is scarring. i was informed that if i do it , the place pierces with an 18 gauge needle, but uses a 20 gauge stud. ive also heard youre supposed to pierce with a CBR ring, not a screw, but i cant have a ring. so yeah. any comments/hints/tips/advice for me about this?! thanks a ton!

I got my nose pierced in January and absolutley LOVE IT!! I got it pierced with a 18 gauge needle and was able to put a screw type stud in it. I think it's adorable. But my managers don't agree....

It feels like a nasty pinch. Your eyes will water and you will prolly freak out. The guy who does my piercings placed a light right it my eyes so I wouldn't freak. It worked somewhat. Make sure you stay calm and not pass out like my friend did.

Make sure you wash out your nose with non scented antibacterial soap and soak with uniodinized salt . After a couple of weeks, it should be fine.

I warn for you not to play with it, because mine has fallen out and everyone in the room I was in was crawling on the floor looking for it.

I just pierced mine about two months ago... I don't have a ring I got a screw... I'm in love with it... I think it felt only a little worse than piercing my ear... my eyes watered a little bit but the piercing guy told that that happens to everyone... I just used Bandaid Hurt-Free Antiseptic Wash to clean mine... and it healed beautifully... I'm looking forward to changing it when I go home in a couple days... I say go for it!!!

ok i did it today!!! bout 11:30 this morning, between finals nonetheless, i finally got the nerve. went and did it. i am now the proud owner of a 20 gauge (i think. maybe 18) nose screw topped with a clear crystal in my right nostril! it wasnt bad at all, painwise. the worst is just my parents. i just got home. my dad called me a hoochie! he called my mom at work to tell her i did it. luckily, she wont be home til like 2am! oy. anyway. i like it though

I would love to get my nose pierced but I don't think my husband would like it too much. He threw a fit when I got a tattoo!
