www.GreekConcepts.com = BAD SERVICE, BEWARE!
If your chapter is looking for Theme Party, Homecoming, Bid-Day, Social or Rush T-Shirts, I urge you to look elsewhere when purchasing your shirts. www.GreekConcepts.com is the place that my organization bought their Homecoming T-shirts from, and we are very disappointed.
First, the order was supposed to arrive on the Monday of Homecoming week, and they arrived on Friday. Homecoming was basically over by that time. That sucks, but its not the end of the world...until.
Secondly, they shorted us 5 shirts and then denied that we ordered them in the first place. So, we had to re-enforce our order by re-sending them the e-mail with the final counts. We are still waiting for the shirts today.
Third, many of the shirts were off centered, or crooked. Who wants to wear a shirt when the 'centered' logo is on the right or if the picture/letters run downhill? Not me.
Fourth, many of the T-Shirts have ink splattered on them. The yellow has red and black ink in it....etc.
Fifth, of the bad T-Shirts mentioned above, they WILL NOT REPLACE THEM, because they said "That just happens". Not a good answer in my book!
And Sixth, anyone who tells me "I have 5 non-English speaking men back there making these T-Shirts" does not deserve my business, or anyone elses.
Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that we changed the saying on the back of the T-Shirt before they were made with plenty of time, and we still received them with the wrong logo. We verified this order 2 times with them, and it was still wrong.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Thanks for your support.

UPDATE
Here is an update on our T-Shirt ordeal, and it gets worse.
The agreement was that we would pay 1/2 of the bill via credit card, receive the T-shirts and then pay the second 1/2 after. Well, they charged the credit card for the first 1/2, then 2 weeks later (2 weeks before the shirts arrived) they DOUBLE charged the second 1/2.
The man said today, the reason why they automatically charge the account is because "THEY DO NOT TRUST FRATERNITIES AND SORORITIES".
I believe it is against the law for any company/person to charge a credit card without the permission of the owner. Can someone please verify that for me?
I urge all of you, DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
How can they say "We don't trust fraternities and sororities" when we are their business?
I am completley amazed at this company, I have never had worse service.

Charging credit card without permission
ZZ kai,
Wow, talk about a bad experience! I feel for you.
You're absolutely right. A company can NOT charge a purchase to a customer's credit card without that person's permission. I'm not a lawyer, so I can't tell you what to do about it, but I do know that it is not legal for them to do that!
I have a friend who is a lawyer. I'll e-mail her and see if you have any way to seek legal action against this company. I'll keep you posted!
In the Greek Bond,
Carrie

Ouch! How awful.
My husband had a similar problem with our limo company from our wedding. They charged his credit card without his permission - twice! He did have his attorney handle it, and contacted the credit card company. We also filed a complaint.
I suggest you file a complaint with the state this company operates out of, and contact the credit card company! If that doesn't work, decide if you want to take legal action.

If nothing else, you should file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
Thanks for the warning.

Oh yeah, you have a case that's for sure!
TECHNICALLY, a company CAN NOT charge your card until the merchandise is shipped. So they are royally in trouble.
I sent them an e-mail telling them how disgusted I am with their behaviour toward you.
I would not only write them a letter but cc the better business bureau, the State's attorney office, your House of Representative and your Senators. And write your credit card company too.
I am not kidding about sending all of this to all these people. Scare the living s**t out of these people. They deserve it and then some.
They are completely taking advantage of you and I can't stand people like that.

You can contact your credit card company and dispute the charge entirely. They will send you a form that you will have to fill out and then supply them with copies of all of the correspondence b/w yourself and the company. They will investigate the charges and most likely credit you for the entire purchase if the products were not what you ordered. At the very least they should credit you for the double charge (unless the company can provide them with proof that you agreed to pay that much, etc.).
This service is provided by most credit card companies free of charge and is one of the reasons that most people use credit cards for major purposes.
Good luck!

GREEKconcept??
They obviously don't have a clue about GREEKs if they "don't trust fraternities and sororities"!
When they mean "greek" concepts, do they mean "it's greek to me...I don't have a clue????"
I think that the name of their company is definitely misleading!!

Hey Bro.
They are loosers with a big L. LOL From what you said they definitely sound like they are frauds. At least how they do business. That is no excuse to claim just because we are in a fraternity that you will be charged extra. I cant imagine any terms/conditions that would support that. I agree with whats been said about contacting your credit card company and disputing the charges. I could see if it was a gas charge, a rental charge, or a hotel charge because sometimes they do charge a little over the amount. But T-Shirts? Double Charge? Cmon.
The second thing I would do is make copies of all the receipts which I'm sure you have done, document what the store people told you, and rifle off a letter to the state attorney generals office.
You might even go down to the local p.d./county sheriffs dept whichever is in your jursidiction and file a formal complaint. I would do this as soon as you can. I agree with Carrie if they do not have your permission and you didnt not sign to any terms agreeing to the charges then they have no right to charge you like that. They should really be giving you free business because they are loosing business as we speak. lol I hope it works out.
Keep me posted.
Yours in -KAI-
Kevin

Additional Info
It's sad when customers don't receive the service that one comes to expect. I truly hope that your chapter can recover the money lost due to the extra charges - or even get a full refund. However, I wouldn't count on it. I just checked the Better Business Bureau website at http://www.bbb.org
I looked up greekconcepts.com and found one listed with that name located in Hempstead, NY. Here is an excerpt from that BBB report:
--------
GreekConcepts.com
626 Fulton Street
Hempstead, NY 11550
866-374-7335
According to information in the Better Business Bureau's file:
This firm is a direct marketing company.
This firm has an unsatisfactory rating, which is the Bureau's lowest rating.
This firm has received 5 complaint (s) in the last 36 months. 2 of those 5 complaint(s) were received in the last 12 months.
This firm has a pattern of not responding to complaints brought to its attention by the Bureau.
Better Business Bureau reports are based on our files over the past three years. The company's size, volume of business and number of transactions may have a bearing on the number of complaints received by the BBB. The BBB does not endorse or
recommend any product, service, or company.
--------
So, according to this, your chapter isn't the first. I would highly reccomend that you file your complaint with the BBB *immediately*. Also file a complaint with the State of New York (State Attorney's Office?). These people should be out of business.
If you're feeling bad about what happened, Don't. No one could have predicted that this company was terrible. Come on, how often do any of us check the BBB before shopping somewhere? At any rate, I hope this extra info helps - the best of luck to you!

Kelly,
Woooowww. I was totally unaware of the BBB and you could look things up like that. And, I am even more amazed at the feedback on that company. I will keep that in mind the next time we order T-Shrits, or do any business for that fact.
On a better note, we were notified today, that the double charge has been credited back to the credit card. The remainder of the bill will be paid by check, per the first agreement. So, that is good, but the bad taste is already in our mouths. Sucks for them, they lost a lot of business.
Thanks for your support.

Be aware of your rights as a consumer. You can still dispute the charge, even if they removed the double bill. I would refuse to pay them for the t-shirts: they were printed with the incorrect slogan, the slogan was crooked and they didn't come on time. I've never had a t-shirt company sue a chapter when the chapter rightfully refused to pay for the shirts. Offer to return them to them and don't pay for them if they are really that messed up!

That sucks!
And what sucks worse is that I recently ordered some stuff from them like 3 weeks ago! I'm so shocked to read this. If they mess up my order, I'm gonna be HIGHLY pissed off!! Man, now i'm worried that the order won't be right. And I ordered something that I could see them screwing it up if they are this careless! Man, everyone pray that my order is right! I'll keep ya'll updated...i should be receiving it sometime next week (if they send it like they said they would).

As purchasing chair for my chapter, I urge you all to use small, local screenprinters for chapter orders. They are cheaper, friendlier, faster, more reliable, and they actually care about your individual order. Also, you can go in and see the quality of their work.
I have had nothing but grief when dealing with larger screenprinters who are supposed to be "Greek-friendly" (aka - Greek 101 & Greek Lifestyles to name a few).
I am so sorry to hear about your situation and I hope that everything works out!
